Default The ebay authentication center is in the direct path of a category 5 hurricane

CSG Headquarters is located in Sarasota which is the city projected to get hit the worst by Hurricane Ian, some reports are expecting them to get 25+ inches of rainfall and 155 MPH winds.

Obviously, in the grand scheme of things there are way more important things to worry about, but as this is a basketball card forum just thought I'd bring this up since I'm guessing significant delays are incoming for anything going through the ungraded card authentication center.

Your CA stuff would be authenticating already slabbed cards. The FL stuff is for ungraded/raw cards.

I mailed a card there yesterday which was obviously a poor decision. I should have thought about when my auction was ending. I have the buyer's refund ready to go.

Good thing I haven't bought any $250+ cards that need to be "authenticated" lately.....

Hopefully tracking will show there's a delay. USPS should know by now to not send mail that way. Trucks wouldn't be going there anyway so you're probably fine. Just going to be a delay. Write the user through ebay and explain the situation so you have that on record for when they inevitably complain and leave negative feedback

Good to know that. I see that my slabbed card just arrived at Santa Ana location. I thought it would go to FL location

FYI the Santa Ana location is PSA. Thought it was funny when they sent a PSA 10 to be authenticated by PSA.

Didn't even think of this as a buyer. Have 4 cards en route that fortunately the sellers were sleepy at the wheel on it terms of getting shipped, including a $1300 purchase. Happy that none are in the state of FL.

Hope they delayed sending anything from the Memphis hub. Have a former hurricane heading towards the hurricane in the form of my first NT shield.

Is this supposed to be good news or bad?

Good news. Raw pop and the number of those cards that woulda been sent to PSA now down .000001 percent

Although the Hurricane Ian-salted edition of Tua concussion card is gonna be multiple fire emojis.

This poor guy (or alien) has been bumping every thread he can looking for this phone number. Funny thing is, I'm not even sure how the eBay authentication center can help him with the problem he says he has LOL. Like what are they supposed to do if the guy forgot to check his mail for days?

It's technically a relevant topic anyway as the delays from eBay authentication have been unprecedented. They're so behind on authentication. Cards just sitting with them, funds on hold, buyers/sellers receiving no communication. PSA is getting out of hand.
