Even though everyone and their grandma knew Ohtani was gonna win MVP again and everyone said winning MVP was already baked into his prices, I still feel like there will be a slight bump regardless as people realize not only did he win MVP for a 4th time (3rd in a row), but he won unanimously for a 4th time (no one else has ever done that more than once). Now he is only behind Bonds as far as all-time MVPs with a pretty realistic shot to at least tie him.

The offseason "discount" pricing people were waiting for probably ended last night. Lol

Ohtani is in the MJ tier. There is no discount season in the MJ tier.

I only follow the 2018 RC card market. I have noticed low end raw base and insert cards have been trending up in price (especially non flagship and Topps chrome).

I agree there is likely no off season pricing, and finding deals is going to be difficult. I expect my buying to be sporadic at best based on today's prices.

I'll be shocked if 18 BC #1 batting PSA 10's aren't back into the $3k range soon. Definitely don't think they are dipping below $2.5k again.

Supply/demand will dictate...supply could be affected by holder's financial situation. Decent amount of supply at 4876 10s currently. Price fluctuating 2500 to 2900 last few days.
