It's nice to feel like you've found a diamond in the rough with Grisham but he is way overrated. Other than his 34 HR helped by the Yankees right field porch he batted .235 with less than 10 SB and didn't show up in the postseason. A typical Cashman signing. Meanwhile whe we watch young stars again experience and thrive like Chourio, Jackson Holliday,PCA and the like we are stuck watching our young stars on the bench. And hal will not fire Cashman or Boone no matter how much they wreck this team. This is exactly the blueprint of the early 90s Yankees. Looks like as Yankees fans we are stuck in mediocrity for a long time

I don't see this team doing anything next year. 3 of their starters (including 2 good ones) won't pitch until who knows when. The left side of the infield can't hit. The outfield other than Judge can't hit. Jazz will either hit a bomb or K. Wells can't hit at catcher. Unless Hal relents and lets Cashman go all in on someone who can hit and another starter, it looks like it's going to be a lost 2026 season. |

Cashman is bad but I wonder if this deal is a sign of things to come this offseason with no baseball in 2027.

I doubt it. Teams like the Dodgers and Mets will load up in case of the strike/new CBA. Other top 10 payroll teams, like the Blue Jays, will probably spend, but the Yankees won't as usual.

At this time, they are worse than last year's team. Starting pitching will barely be serviceable until the All Star break when they get their ace and last year's #2 starter back. They have no closer. We have to hope Caballeros/Cabrera are better than Volpe/McMahon and even then, idiot Boone, will probably play Volpe again when he gets back. Grisham was a big risk and the Yankees blew it. This management has shown us fans zero trust that they can improve this team. Until they prove to me, they are going to change, I'm not going to sit here and act like the Yankees are going to win the division and the world series next year. |

Grisham ain't that bad guys, settle down. You're gonna have to get used to big brother being around and you not getting all the top talent each year in FA.

Has any talking head or writer or commentator come out and said the Trent signing was a good move? I can't remember another time when everyone thought a move was stupid.
