Gotta love ebay people.

carmro6285

hey man, probably not the message you are expecting on this card but i’m really good friends with travis’ younger brother and since travis is back home right now because of his tommy john he’s saying travis probably won’t make it to the league until next season so if I were you I would hold on to this card till next year and wait for his debut before selling this card, it should at least double in price by then.

Not a message, but some fun listings.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/206015424210

https://www.ebay.com/itm/206014568122

I mean it's not as rare if you list it twice, right?

The rubber gloves really set it off.

One for your block lists. Buyer bought 2 items each at different times during the day and then submitted two cancelations hours later. After a check of feedback, they're a habitual order cancelation user.

Seller had 3 cards I wanted, so I asked if they combined shipping; total shipping would have been $14. He said sure and he would refund the difference.

Charged me $8.10 claiming that's what USPS charges people, instead of something reasonable like $5.99. Yeah, USPS charges $8.10 and then there's the $2.90 discount eBay provides, which is $5.20, so he's pocketing the difference.

He wants to argue that's reasonable.

I am guessing this is Travis Sykora. We are friends with Travis.

Recommend adding dutchiestheman to your block list. They bought a card and I shipped ESE. It wasn't ever scanned, which happens somewhat frequently, but they left positive feedback a few days later. Now about 45 days after I shipped the card they filed an INR claim. They said they must have left the feedback by accident because they didn't get the card. I just refunded because I would still likely lose with ebay since no scan, but it just annoys me when people game the system to get a free card.

Actually I believe you would have won the INR case because they passed the 30 day limit to file. No acceptance scan necessary for ESE shipments.

Pretty easy buyer to block on ebay: chco-2120

Negotiated with him and gave him a deal on a couple cards. Combined shipping into an ESE. Refunded him some of the shipping (he checked out in 2 transactions). Therefore, the same tracking number was on both cards. A glitch in ebay's system only showed 1 of the cards as delivered, the other was not (same tracking number!?!?). He decided to open a case on just the one card. I called ebay twice and they said not to worry, they would decide the case for me. Of course the case got decided in the buyer's favor. The buyer stopped responding to me after he opened a case.

Got a new one. I got a message on ebay from someone who wanted me to sell him a CGC slab I have listed for half off. The reasoning was that he wanted to put it up near his exercise equipment so he could look at it while he worked out and it would motivate him. So why do I need to cut my price so you can be motivated? SMH.

Than you Mister Deep Pockets for you overly generous offer, but if you are serious about this item maybe you could better motivate yourself by paying my asking price plus 10% for allowing you the privilege of becoming the new owner.

Just had someone buy four Optic hanger boxes from me. The listing I have on ebay is an individual listing that shows quantity available. So the buyer literally had to change the quantity to purchase four. The buyer also checked out and paid for the boxes. Ten minutes later I get a cancelation request from the buyer saying "order placed by mistake". Really?

So do I approve the cancelation or since they are already paid for, go ahead and ship him the boxes?

If you want to receive an "Item Arrived Damaged" or "Item Not As Described" complaint, ship them. I wouldn't....buyer could damage and force the return and then you would have damaged boxes to try to resell after you are forced to pay for return shipping.

Not an SMH message, but I received this + feedback today:

Very prestine but shipping in just an envelope was very risky because the items weren't in a hard card sleeve. I wanted to purchase more but I don't want to risk it.

ESE type shipping was used.....card was placed into a penny sleeve, then a card saver, then a one touch sleeve(instead of taping the end), then taped into a PWE envelope.

Sounds like it was this person:

From jbakes333 (1972)

For a card of a multi time nba champion and being numbered out of /18 I wish it would have been in a plastic top loader but other than that A+ and the item was as described and shipped fast. Thank you
2023-24 Draymond Green - Pink Swirl Mosaic FOTL – /18

Reply from: masteroftimeandspace.

To jbakes33: I take it that the card reached you in good shape. It is a nice card and I hope you enjoy it. The card was sent inside a sleeve inside a semi-rigid saver surrounded by 2 thin cardboard pieces inside a piece of paper which was taped to the inside of the ESE envelope to stop any slippage inside the envelope. I have sent many cards this way with none being damaged, and have never received any complaints. I'll consider switching to top loaders for ESE shipments. Thank you again.

I've considered, and nope.

I would block this buyer

vandmdeals24

Sold a card using ese, buyer demanded to know where card was next day. I tried to tell him that shipping may not update right away on it. Did not matter threatened me, threatened to contact ebay. Called me a liar etc. I just go ahead and refund the card to hopefully end situation. Buyer continues to contact me daily about card, card arrives leaves neutral.

He seems to have a pattern

Posts like this are why I'm thankful for the BO community. Didn't have this guy on my block list. I do now.

Not so much a message as I got negative feedback and the reasoning is hilarious...

Card was not transparent on the fact that the card is not licensed by the NFL which greatly reduces the resell market. The non licensed should be in the title!

The card in question:
BO NIX RC Rookie PSA 10 - Green Refractor #/99 Finesse 2024 Topps Chrome #F-4

I'm actively working with eBay to have it removed.

Block user: kevnloripro_90

EDIT: And just like that, it was removed.

Did they in fact ship with the cheaper eBay label and not the regular USPS labels? Also the shipping cost needs to have packaging costs included as well

He shipped with the eBay label. He paid $5.20. I'm not a savage. I'm aware that shipping costs can, or could, be included. That's why I told him that I felt $5.99 was acceptable. Shipping costs don't amount to $2.00 per order.

After fees, he made an extra $1.50, but he lost a future buyer.

Just got a notice that a buyer, who bought three different times from me in a week span, is now submitted credit card chargebacks saying he didn't recognize the charges. Per ebay, I am protected because I have the tracking number and it shows it was delivered to the address that was used during check out. But just shaking me head. Funny thing is that he made two purchases of $180 and then a purchase of $400. He didn't dispute the $400 purchase, just the two $180 purchases.

Ridiculous ad from eBay:

keep it circular = death for all sellers.

Everytime we sell eBay gets paid; not to mention, the post office.

Now if they said: “if you purchased on eBay then 50% off reselling fees”, we might have something.

I believe that when a credit card is reported lost or stolen the bank involved will put a hold on all transactions for a number of days....it's possible that the $400 transaction occurred after the hold was lifted so wasn't part of the hold. Buyer has no control over what the bank chooses to dispute.
