No, because you have to play 10 seasons, but his career isn't ending today. That's what people can't comprehend. He has several seasons left to go. Sure, he could have a career ending injury, but chances are he won't and if something (god forbid) really catastrophic happens, I could see and Addie Joss/Roberto Clemente type exception being made for him. He's on that level.
