Another sitting gem is a Topps NBA at 50. Very low population.

Yeah I still want to pick one of those up someday. I wondered if people would shift to that if the interest in the Chrome faded due to the greening, but it seems if that were true, it will likely go to his base Topps card.

There were two up at that price. One didn't look like a 10 but the other did. $7K is way too low for that card now if Topps Chromes are close to $6K as 10s.

Edit: The one that got hit was the one I don't think should be a 10:

The edge on the top right part of the card and the corner are a little iffy. The other 10 that was up looked flawless. Mighta been sold off eBay.

i can see those nba at 50 commanding premiums in the future but you’re probably right, i think the base will be much more popular to collectors since its much more accessible

Completely agree. My biggest issue with that one is how off Kobe and his "cutout" are. There is a sizeable gap between him and the background that I have not seen on other 10's.

But yes if the market stays how it is, given the scarcity of the card in a 10, I'd be surprised if it was not a $10-15,000 card soon.

That copy is over graded and short T/B.

I still can't believe I sold my PSA 9 two years ago. Such a moron.

My PSA 9 will always have a special place in my collection. I was out of the hobby for almost 20 years and decided to go to the National in Cleveland in 2018. I was completely overwhelmed and had no idea about anything beyond 1994. It was all new to me.

I bought one card that day and it was the Kobe E-X2000 in PSA 9. Got it for $100. That started my Kobe rookie PC and the rest is history. Haha

Off center left to right as well. I would love to know whose submission that was in.

One of the toughest cards to grade...I would like to hear PSA's reasoning for giving that a 10.

tbh, my BGS 9 isn’t that far from that copy. edges looks like a 9 and the silver border is inside is way off.

they probably had a trainee grading that when those ex2000’s wasn’t commanding serious dollars.

That's a recent grade from the looks of it.

That card doesn't even deserve a 9 imo.

-Its OC L to R
-The back of Kobe's head is missing
-blemish on lower rh corner of skyview window
-what the heck is going on with the left thigh? is that part bent?
-has the thumbprint on upper border

IF that is a 10 mine is an 11...LOL

You should send it in! There's very few gems between PSA and BGS.

Raise the Roof went for $9K and the Slam Bams for a little over $5,200; both raw. I think the Slam Bams mighta gone higher if it was slabbed, even if it was a 6 or 7. The chipping around the edges was pretty bad.

Edge damage on the right side. Its legit edge issues.

Was thinking about sending this to psa as it's pc, but it was slabbed in 2003 and I kind of like that.

You won the Slam Bams? Nice! Post it up when you get it in hand. Those never pop up.

The last one I remember was a BGS 8.5 BIN 5 years ago that sat there unclaimed with an OBO of around $1,100.

I did win it. Will post pics when it arrives. Looks a little chewed up, but I wasn't sure when I would get a shot at another one.

Just looked at your flickr. Wow, amazing Kobes! Nice job, one if the best collections I've seen. A 9 on the bams is tough to get.

Thanks! Fortunate enough to get most of them before prices exploded.
