LOL. Nah, I didn't buy any to flip. And Walmart pays for the shipping to my house. I just didn't want the hassle of trying to find them at stores. I also didn't want the hassle of overpaying for hobby boxes right out of the gate. This is easier. All that being said, I think Prizm is gonna be fire this year, and it's gonna be more sought after than last year. Just my opinion.

One key element to consider: patience. It took a couple of months for big retailers like Blowout to have Prizm Retail at under MSRP. Before that? People spend the first month running around Wal-Mart and Target looking for Prizm.

There's gonna be so much of this stuff produced, with reload after reload, that the only cards that will matter are the key numbered parallels. And given how many boxes they're gonna manufacture, your odds will be worse than ever before. You might have a better shot at Powerball than the Zion 1/1.

I bought last year's Prizm retail boxes and cello on pre-sale when they first came out and the prices dropped and have never reached that same level again. Beware buying 2019-20 above MSRP this year, because the floodgates will be wide open.

I think it's good to be careful. And the points re 2018 prizm are valid. And I think the calculation is important. What does it cost now? What does it cost at release? What does it cost after the next new big thing comes out? All valid. I didn't buy any to flip. I bought some to hide under my bed for rainy day. I didn't have to pay for shipping. I don't have to drive anywhere to find them. Any if my order is cancelled/refunded, I'm not gonna be that bent out of shape either.

It wasn't that easy. It took me a while to get something from Target (they kept running out of stock) and Wal-Mart didn't have anything until early December. And in both cases, they were selling stuff at MSRP - you couldn't find anything under it. I think that was the case until 2019 when people realized how much they produced.

Anyway, it's really hard to get stuff at MSRP on release or pre-sale. After 2-3 months? Shouldn't be hard.

Panini will absolutely satisfy the demand. There are no guaranteed hits or numbered cards in cello or retail boxes, so they can be printed to infinity.

No numbered cards in cello/retail? This year or in previous years. I’m almost sure they did include numbered parallels in those before.
