I followed Salas at Lake Elsinore because of Rosman Verdugo and Sammy Zavala and the kid was just amazing. He lifted those around him. Amazing kid

No surprises that when he left both aforementioned players, they have absolutely stunk.

Salas inclusion is settling in.

Really hope it’s not a redemption but I have a gut feeling it will be.

Got shipping notification from Topps this morning for my single box pre-order. Would expect it to arrive a day earlier than release, just as it did with Bowman.

In the degenerate’s mind, that’s $140 to be able to pull a $100k+ superfractor auto redemption - that’s a no-brainer from the gambler’s mind.
I know we have to beat the drum that "breakers are bad and everyone is a degen " on an hourly basis but this sentiment is not based on any kind of actual facts. I can assure you very few breakers are filling very few (>10 total) cases of this anywhere near $140 for random teams.

Instead of posting the same crap every thread every day please prove me wrong. Find these breaks, post the videos. Show your work.

200k bounty being announced shortly. Would be nice to claim that. I'm assuming it's related to this release.

Using your “facts” that barely any breakers are filling randoms at $140/team, that means prices should decline fairly rapidly shortly after release for sealed product.

Keep on degening, boss.

Salas super I am sure. I've never liked the bounties because it's designed to drive sales, but also indicates that the card in question likely will be held by Topps for a month before it makes it's way into distribution. I doubt it resides in any of the pre-order boxes.

People have tried to get him to show facts for years, he'd rather just call everyone degens and boi hour after hour. It's all sour grapes.

Ironically he'll then say he is buying several sealed boxes...no less a degen than anyone else paying these prices.

Exactly, if you have to use bounties to drive sales, you know the product isn't worth the price it's being sold for.

Completely false. It is simply marketing. Would you rather have them spend that marketing budget on ads or put that money in collectors pockets?

This is another card industry jump the shark moment - someone paying $200,000 for a $1000 card.

I actually wait until the degens move on to the next product and prices come down. I don’t get suckered in to the initial FOMO or “breaker first in line have to have it now sucker prices”. I don’t see HTA staying at $400 very long, I will bite at closer to $300 if at all.

If they actually go up in price, there are other products to enjoy opening with my own hands in the comfort of my home.

It would sell for more than 1K, but it certainly would never touch 200K. I'm really surprised it wasn't related to Salas, but maybe this is Topps trying to pump up the "retro" 1st Bowman's, which are an odd thing in the first place.

Sorry in not being w/ the theme of this thread but I was just notified that 'order has shipped'. Woot!!! Excited for my 1 box. Ethan Salas super here I come!!!!!!!

After my chrome and cosmic chrome experiences this year I've learned to have the most ridiculous expectations because they are going to get crushed anyway.

I'd rather the price of their wax be reduced by $200k across the board instead of paying out a lottery ticket type winning. I don't think any Bowman product should need advertising at this point.

For simplicity’s sake, a $200,000 price reduction over 4000 HTA cases is only a $50 reduction in price per case - $4 saved per box.

DA is banking that they can increase their price per box way over $4 simply by offering a lotto style chase - the gamification of sports cards wax.

Gamblers will jump on this because they aren’t good at math - do you not see why people refer to the breaker culture as degenerate gambling?

People aren’t paying high prices because they love the prospects for their team collection, the whole industry is marketing a legalized lottery.

You keep getting stuck on breaking - there are tons of people buying this that aren't breaking.

Also, I'd assume DA does not have over 4000 HTA cases to sell. That bounty is to move THEIR cases. Let's say they have 400 cases, that's $40 cheaper per box and that is significant.

Is it possible that topps is funding some of the bounties (Druw Jones, now this)?
