First Buzz: 2024 Panini Prizm WWE wrestling cards

Has anyone looked closely at Jaida Parker cards?

The background is the video screen/jumbotron from NXT and has a woman whose chest appears to be perfectly covered by the ropes. At least thats what it looks like to me..

If thats the case, its actually tremendous photography.

I definitely see your point but I don't think many were completing Prizm rainbows even before 2024, most are partial or incomplete. I mean a rainbow is EVERY card, so you even have to track down obscure ones like the box-set premium parallel etc.

If it's true the one 1/1 prizm is exclusive to retail, plus the Undercard 1/1 I like that people can still hope to achieve a 1/1 even if on a lower budget than purchasing hobby, it's one of the reasons I like Select Basketball retail so much each year. WWE Topps was cool cause you could hit a superfractor (actually hit a Ruby Riott once), Panini you know you can't hit the main 1/1 so I like that there is a consolation prize. Not you personally that I know of but I remember people complaining how Debut Prizm WWE retail sucked because there were no real chases beyond the green pulsar prizms, I think it's people speaking with their wallets making them improve retail etc, I mean look at how much Chronicles retail was loved just by adding more numbered cards etc.....I think the average person prefers a chance at more parallels although they'd probably say rainbows are too big lol

Well, generally, Panini has been good about using the real world RC definition (applies to all sports) when applying the tag.

I dont really complete rainbows but I sometimes just end if acquiring a lot of color of random guys for no reason sometimes.

for 2023 prizm I have every card but the 1/1 of Roderick Strong lol
for 2022 I have almost all the Cesaro/Claudios but his Gold's always went surprisingly high at auction.

I do have to agree I do like that Panini is trying to make retail much better. Prizm blasters were always kind of boring next to Select. And Chronicles adjustment this year as you mentioned

I wonder if anyone did (or you even could) bring Prizm cards to Fanatics Fest for WWE stars to sign. If you eliminate cards altogether thats fine but you get into the weird situation currently otherwise where WWE are clearly team-Fanatics but signing Panini products lol know it's probably not a huge deal but still. While I'm not a huge fan of IP autos a Cody parallel since the photo is so cool would be pretty sick to me with matching ink, Ie red parallel-red ink, blue-blue ink

I know it’s not Prizm but it’s panini. I bought a ticket Rhea bc my buddy was setting up at fanatics fest and he got it signed.

Nice, thats another of the cooler photos Panini used! Very sick card! Nitpicking I wish they used slightly less thick markers than they do for Funkos etc as especially with longer autos it all blends together (check Stone Cold autos with the thick marker) but the Rhea looks good, she got her purple pen/marker (See Fanatics live feed for reference lol) and her name is short so it came out good.

Not that one would but do they seem permanent to touch? I always worry if I got an auto like this in person I'd put it in a sleeve an have half the auto left on said sleeve lol or smudge it sliding into toploader

I LOVE Undercard, but it is ones less auto than hobby and no chance at the true parallels (Gold-Black etc) so it's not like they really cut people a bone lol. It's like comparing a jumbo box to a hobby box, a hobby is easier to swallow but also gives you less.

Other Prizm News

-Blasters look to have Red/Blue pulsar parallels now. Red I saw was /399, Blue /75) The finite 1/1's ARE actually retail/blaster exclusive, beyond that looks pretty standard with the three silver ice and possible green pulsar and green pulsar autos /10. I don't want to see anyone complaining about rainbows getting bigger posting their new pulsar parallels all happy cause it's a CM Punk or something lol

-Lalo's post got me to check out the WWE landing page on Panini and I learned the page is up for the box-set and there is a BIG change. I thought it might change as I didn't see the usual box-set parallel under Champion autos and it sure did:

Each Premium Box Set contains a complete set of 200 Premium Box Set parallels sequentially numbered to 199 each, PLUS One 5-card pack of Premium Box Set Gold parallels sequentially numbered to 5 each!

More rainbow parallels I know lol ok I'm done but maybe I'm over-reacting but this seems pretty massive. /5 will be the lowest parallel besides 1/1 and I think Gold shimmers? And they made them Gold which everyone loves not some new Fuschia parallel lol they likely won't be as popular as true parallels but I think this is a big improvement over the previous configuration.

Saw two cases, two black color blasts, not to mention golds and even 1/1 seem to be popping out. This is a case product where you will NOT get murdered and I recommend it as it isn't even a high production and dries up pretty quick so even if you hit a color blast or stash some boxes you probably won't have to worry.

Black Color Blasts look great btw, seen Fiend, Rhea, and Roman. Also all are top names so if it's one per case you don't risk a bad name, where 1-2 of the regular ones prob aren't that coveted.

I know disco parallels aren't as popular as regular but the variations are Undercard exclusive and them adding Gold #/10 means there will be John Cena, Punk, even Dashing Cody Rhodes variations /10 that will do well as there is no hobby equivalent.

Every case I have seen has had a color blast and a black 1/1 plus a bunch of golds. I was in a break Saturday that had 3 1/1’s and a case friday that had 14 golds

I don't think spending an extra $200 over hobby for five guaranteed golds /5 even if non-hobby parallels are valued less, is that high at all. Plus the whole set /199 when I've seen people get barely 1-2 cards less than that out of hobby. I would definitely buy 3-4 Undercards instead of this, but I'd probably do this over risking two hobby seeing what has been coming out on here.

Undercard way better. Opened 3 more today and had a color blast of reigns, dvon gold auto /10, and 2 black 1/1s- Ken Shamrock and Bron Breakker

Undercard is for the people! I can judge a product without bias and not just based on whether I personally did well or not and I'm not a pumper so if I say a product's good I genuinely feel that way.

Looks like people are pulling white (hobby) color blasts from retail blasters, as a heads up to anyone so inclined to consider ripping that traditionally bad product.

I'll register what I sense is a minority opinion and say that I actively dislike the black undercard color blasts. They remind me of those janky custom cards you see people trying to pass off on eBay. I'll take the OG iconic white all day long, a much cleaner look imo.
