What do FIBA rules say? Someone mentioned that under 2 minutes youre not allowed to call a TO and advance ball. So if he misses both or even just the last one Im not sure they could have used a TO there.

Just tuned in... why is Wemby sitting? They really feel they don't have a chance?

Dennis starring out.

Add another bullet point to the Joker's greatness -> his #2 can't crack Team Canada's starting or finishing lineup.
This is some desperation and insecurity right here.

So applying the same logic to the US team, Tatum and Embiid are trash! They couldn't even get in the game.

And D. White is better than J. Brown and Tatum.

Canucks barely escaped the Ricky Martin twins. Espana tenia no business keeping it close.

The US and A by 20 + in the final surely.

Germany look like they can get there if they avoid the poor mans Dream team until the GF

US just has to beat PR by 5 or more to get the #1 seed going into the knockout stage.

I am hoping Greece makes it to the knockout round. For that to occur, they need either Serbia defeating South Sudan by at least 3 or South Sudan defeating Serbia by at least 24.

Isn't it much more likely that South Sudan will beat Serbia by something like 7?

Did Nembhard get much play in the point?

Wow, first few minutes of Puerto Rico is like prime Pacers. I don't think either team can maintain that.

With Alvarado on the bench and Embid as well, PR getting dominated however.

USA is so good Tyrese is the worst player on the team lol. However they did not cover the 36.5 line.

Serbia is favored by 13.5 over S. Sudan.

I dont think they seed teams 1-8. They separate teams into 4 different pots and for sure the top two teams are placed on opposite sides so they dont play in the semis.

Correct. Also teams from the same prelim group cannot play each other in the quarterfinals. USA is locked into playing Brazil, and Germany (the #2 team overall) plays Greece or the third place team from Group C (Serbia/S Sudan).

Why would you apply the same logic to a completely different team?

# All-Star apperances for Canada: 2 [both by Shai]

# All-Star appearances for USA: 78

Which team should theoretically be easier to crack the starting/crunchtime lineup?

Nice deflection from your one eyed fandom as usual.

This isn't the NBA. It's like this whole other league or somethin. Different coaches and everything.

Hard to wrap your head around. But carry on. Get your Jokic doll out tonight and hug away.

What am I deflecting from? I said that Jamal is clearly not a star if he can't crack the top 5 of a team with 1 true star. It supports the fact that he has 0 all-star appearances and 0 all-nba nods.

You're the one who chose to somehow compare a team with 1 star vs a team with 10, and I showed why that doesn't relate.

We still trying to discredit Jamal to prop joker after what we saw during the championship run? Memories don’t last long nowadays do they.

It's the Kawhi caveat.

Everyone knows Alpaca is super mid during the RS. But he's put up 24/6/5 through 65 career playoff games. And everyone's well aware of the optional Bubble Alpaca performance package.

Yoker isn't hoisting the ship without his 26/7/6 in '23.

He's absolutely all-star caliber once April comes around. But he certainly didn't look right this last playoffs. Obviously the injuries were hampering him and the rest of the West is catching up defensively.

Yep. This.

Trying to downplay Murray because he isn't closing on an Olympic team where SGA is ahead of him and the coach is going with a different line up is pretty lolsy.

The Olympics is not the NBA.

Anyone with half a basketball brain can see that.

Patty Mills scored 40 last Olympics to get us a Bronze. It doesn't mean I should make him out to be some Superstar back in the NBA.

There is a history of differences between the NBA and the Olympics.

Yeah...no way he's getting the nod over SGA. 4/5ths of the NBA isn't...we're talking a borderline top 5 2-way player. Not an indictment on Murray...more a nod to how good SGA is...and has been for awhile.
