He will be fine, but those holding his cards may not. This is why you sell when the selling is good. His prices were out of this world and over the moon. There was no reason to continue to hold outside of greed (if you are not pc'ing) him. I hope the struggles continue till later in the year. I want to get some of his rookie cards cheap and cash in on those too.

If you didn't sell on callup though you have to hold. His potential is too high. We have seen guys with worse starts go nuts. It's somehow a buyer's market if prices drop.

That was my point. Everyone should have sold by that point. Look at prices of all of the last 10 years of MVP's in the AL and NL. Now compare those guys to Vlad prices. Selling was the only option in my mind.

Yeah and I believe there's a guy in a bigger market that played pretty well as a 19 year old and has been doing pretty good as a 20 year old. Vlad is 20 and we don't know if he can hit big boy pitching.

Sometimes guys are actually worth more when they are crushing in AAA than when they are actually called up. Only when they crush on callup does stuff really go up. Some guys it takes a while.

Vlad is also just a weird case. He had about 2-3 times to sell even before he was called up, then callup, then longer term holds.

Some are holding Vlad is because he is projected to have a shot of being a top top level player being the only with an 80 hit tool. We all know the MO of half the people who post here, but the other half who are actually having a conversation, people are holding in case he becomes the face of baseball or a top 3-5 talent.

He has only played 9 games so anyone who is panic selling is probably new to prospecting. He's also only a month into year 20 of his life so if he takes off this Summer or Fall there can be another boost.
