Did Wallace not originally say he never saw the noose? And then later went on with Don Lemon and talked about how he had visual proof of the noose?

Sure, but like 90% of the population is looking at him like he's the biggest dummy out there.

I don't watch CNN and/or Don Lemon. We saw the pictures, it's totally a noose. It was reported by a crew member. From what I had read right now the drivers aren't even going in the garage area (maybe that part is wrong, I recall reading that) they are going from their RVs to the cars.

Did he actually say he saw the visual evidence, or was he just saying there is visual evidence of the "noose"? I don't know one way or the other. I'm just wondering.

JV - Do you not see how controlled you are?

Trump starts talking about Bubba, so you start talking about Bubba. Trump starts talking about baseball team names, so you start talking about baseball team names. You're his puppet. Don't you understand that? Even when you mock the things he says, he doesn't care. He drives the conversation ... that's the value.

Look at this forum. Conversation was on COVID, you interjected w/ a Trump tweet, and the conversation turned on a dime.

That's white power. (LOL)

Triggered I think would be a better term I suppose. If you (or rather he) thinks any publicity is good, I would disagree. At the end of the day his opinions/stances etc are why I would never vote for him.

It's not about publicity. It's about the narrative. Trump isn't going for publicity when he brings up Bubba or sports teams or any of the other things from last week, last month he talks about. What he does is drive the narrative; so that you and your friends and the people around you talk about the things he wants you to.

And it goes exactly the way it went today. You open with a tweet from Trump, highlighting the absurdity of X or Y, but then the conversation continues into the actual substance of it. Was it a noose? Was there an apology? Are the names of these teams really racist? Is this all so stupid and so on. And without realizing it, you do exactly what he wants you to do. You focus on something else ... not him.

An election focused on Donald Trump only, is one he is certain to lose. However, when he can get you talking about almost ANYTHING else, he wins. And he does this, easily, by Tweeting crazy stuff all day long that the media just loooooooves to talk about.

This is what I am waiting for, making a vaccine mandatory for school. Luckily my kids have graduated high school and I do not have to worry. My wife and I have already decided to flip the bills for private schools when we have grand children. I will not allow them to be indoctrinated to what is going on in our country currently.

I'm not versed in the science of politics, obviously, but are you sure that people won't see/hear the things he says, say to themselves 'This guy is a complete moron", then vote against him?

In NY public schools you either get the shots or you don't go. NY also doesn't accept religious or personal beliefs as exemptions.

What you're saying has a lot of fair validity to it, but at least for me, obviously my opinion of him isn't changing and he's not getting my vote (Joe Biden for the record is also 100% not getting my vote), but I can see his supporters or goalpost movers being able to take the heat off him by moving past the initial point.

Thanks for bringing that up, I hadn't really thought of it like that previously.

You're talking about the President of the United States.

I'm pretty sure he's already proven the concept to work!

The thing I am confused about, isn't the percentage of school age children who have gotten COVID super low? Maybe I am misremembering what I had read previously, but I swear that was the case.

When it comes to school, can anyone imagine how fun it would be to try and get all the kids to keep their masks on all day?

Honestly it seems like you're reaching here.

That was probably my first thought. Children can't sit still to begin with, now you expect them to wear a mask all day?

Middle and high school, yes. K-2nd grade. No. The concept of social distancing, or any kind of distancing, doesn't exist for these kids.

You've lived in some beautiful, nature wise, places. I've always wanted to take a trip up/down the Pacific Highway.

Really? He also said it was hanging 'over his car'. I don't see any proof of that. Where's that picture?

For Wallace to still be adamant about the racial overtones, after realizing it was there since last year, is a load of crap. And I don't know much about NASCAR, but apparently you go into the stall based on where you are in the points standings. So Bubba ending up there was essentially completely random.

Think of Russia. Russia was the counter narrative to the Trump presidency for the first 3+ years. Everywhere you looked, news organizations would attempt to sway the narrative from what Trump wanted to what they wanted; talking about Russia. Russia. Was. Everywhere.

Has anything been proven about the Trump campaign and Russia. No. There's a lot of narrative though, and for three years, he's been bogged down day in and day about about Russia. "His campaign is Russian, he's in the pocket of Putin, Russia has a tape, Russia has dirt, Trump owes money to Russia ..."

Just as you believe people will see Trump as a moron for tweeting stupid things, others see the media as morons for continuing to push the Trump is Russia narrative. Yet, the narrative was incredibly effective at hurting Trump and helping blue elections in 2018. Doesn't matter if it's true or not, doesn't matter if there's really a tape of Trump in Russia w/ hookers in the room (among other things) ... all that matters is that it's in the air everywhere you look.
