This is why I do my method a little differently. I started doing mine in 60 day cycles, rather than 30. This gives any watchers or those who happen to see the first expiring item to purchase or make an offer. Also, if I see that I have a significant amount of watchers on a card, I don't refresh that listing. Instead, I tend to make offers to buyers in hopes that one of them will hit the accept button. Once I run out of the option to send offers(I think it's like 5 times), then I will refresh the listing regardless of the amount of watchers.

I ripped a case of 2024 Topps Heritage yesterday.

Listed 210 cards (short prints, inserts, purple chrome) last night.

As of 7 a.m. 54 of the 210 cards had already sold.

Price your stuff to sell if you want to it to sell quickly.

If only it was that easy. All sellers have to contend with the Ebay algorithm and hope that their item is even being seen out there. So even if you have a great price listed, it may not reach the right buyer willing to pay it. Ebay is saturated with sellers and probably outnumber the demand, which is another reason for stagnant sales. Sellers like myself don't rely on Ebay income to survive, so I'll take what I sales I can muster and won't be listing cards at pennies on the dollar just to make a sale.

While this is partially true, for new items it only works in a flat or rising market. The stuff I am pricing to sell quickly is not selling. Right now the only two options are to sell for less than I buy for or stop buying. Neither of those seems like a good way to run a business.

25 items listed 84 hours ago, zero sales
15 items listed 60 hours ago, zero sales
4 items listed 36 hours ago, zero sales
9 items listed 12 hours ago, zero sales

^^This is not normal^^ In a flat market I would expect to have sold at least 5, if not 10 of those items by now.

I think this is part of my issue right here. In the past, the new release would drive spending on other stuff because the money would be flowing. Now the new release is sucking all of the money in from other stuff because there's not enough cash to go around. Hopefully once the Heritage rush settles in two weeks the rest of the market will level off.

Hi Beau,

I noticed on your ebay store you have a coupon for 25% off 7+ items. It looks like the coupon only applies to items below a certain price point. Where would I click to set up a coupon like that on my ebay store?

From your Seller Hub;

Marketing-->Promotions--->Create Promotion--->Order Discount

If anybody is wondering, I have now sold more in the last two days than the previous 10.

Late March and April to date have been killer for me.

I did discover a small niche with very few US sellers so I’m chalking it up to that!

I wonder if the delayed reaction was from your former watchers "finding" the items again. That could be a downside of delist/re-list compared to just lowering the price, especially if ebay still sends messages when prices are lowered 5(?)%. I know they used to but I rarely watch anything.

I believe most watchers are not really buyers. There are many reasons I watch items I have zero intent to buy. I have sold just as many if not more items by raising the price than lowering it so lowering prices is not guaranteed either. Any change will boost it in the algorithm, but there is no denying the way you can end and relist items that have been sitting for several months Wil often sell on a relist with no other changes

I have had several items that I ended and relisted during the 2021 May Update that I have been slowly ending, revising and relisting at lower prices. Some have actually been sold also.

I think you are right, but maybe not for the right reason. The biggest thing is when I wipe out the watchers, every time they find the item again I get to send out an offer. I'd say the best predictor of whether an item older than a few days old will sell is if I have an offer out, even if it's not to someone who actually gets the offer.

I know a lot of my offers get accepted, so watchers certainly are buyers in many cases. I definitely sell a higher percentage of items that have watchers than without.

I sell a lot of items with open offers on them its the main reason I no longer respond to them until at least 12 hours have passes usually 18 or more.

If an item has been listed less than 10 days then I would say many of those are possible buyers the longer it sits the less likely those watchers become buyers. I get offers all the time on items I have simply viewed so I still believe ebay is either matching your offers to watchers to viewers as well or they are sending them and covering the discount themselves. If either is happening there is no way to know if it's coming from an actual watcher or just a recent viewer

I gotta say ending and relisting items can pay off. 2 items I just refreshed are now 2 out my last 3 sales today while not huge was nice to move them.

So up until 2 hours ago EBAY time I almost broke my at least ONE Sale a Day since my last goose egg back on January 18, 2022. While it was just one sale it keeps me from adding a RED on my Tracker.

Must be something going on. I had zero sales overnight as well. Needless to say, that is way out of the ordinary.

I had a bad Monday, but the last nine days have been pretty good. I have refreshed some old listings so that has helped and lowered some prices.

Notifications were sporadic last night and haven't been working at all today. eBay has also been glitchy today, with a lot of "we are unable to serve your request" messages.

Sales have been very slow for me as well. Last month I had around 75-80 sells at this point in the month. Right now it's at 41.

So 3 sales between Tuesday and Wednesday just under $10. This is why I do 2 day handling now.

Last week was BRUTAL for me. Removed & relisted all my listings and the past 2 days have been pretty good (whereas sometimes that works well and sometimes does not). It's a complete and utter crapshoot.

EVILBay algo is straight TRASH. We each live and die by it and we have absolutely no control or insight into what the loser company decides to do.

All I know is that it's difficult to decipher or read into anything involved with that company. It's not worth the mental effort; all you can do is control your own process and play it out.
