My mom, whom is my next door neighbor, randomly brought home an above ground pool 3 seasons ago. It had been a lot of work for me to get this thing up and running every summer. Last year, she told me she would add the chemicals since i kept waking my brother's dog and making her go crazy trying to get out of the house to attack me with kisses. She purchased and added the wrong stuff. Took me 2 weeks to get the alge back under control. There is a reason clorox is so expensive. It's an all in 1.

All that to say, they are a total pain in the ass. I only have so many summers left with my boys though and they love it.

I’ve set many people get pools and have major issues. I’ve also seen a bunch of people get pools and use them 4 times throughout the summer, then get rid of them.
