Some lucky
Some inherited it
Some scammers/fraud

The problem with those that inherit money is they didn’t struggle. So they don’t value it as much. Then it might get passed down again and it’s even worse.

But there are plenty of successful owners

I went to high school with a "trust fund" kid. His dad was a super wealthy business owner. They had all these nice cars, heck kid flew into the football stadium in their private helicopter for a pep rally our senior year. He was a tool. Fast forward a few years, dad's business collapses as it was basically a ponze scheme. They lost it all, and I know it might make me sound like a bad person, but I laughed about them losing it all. Kid treated everybody else like less than human.

There are some great owners, but some of these people were completely insane with how they ran business.

Hey you tried. I was busy watching the Rangers, eastern conference finals playoffs is more important than game number 55 for the Yankees in a 162 game season.

Went to supermarket for the the LCS owner's wife. He's never getting out of the nursing home. Sad.

As I was walking past the Exit door there were some girls collecting for a cheerleading group.

I pulled out a couple of bucks amd gave it to them and said "So when you see the fat guy in the orange sweatshirt he already gave."

SO I grab the stuff for the wife and go to leave and a girl about 12, with a HUGE smile on her face said. "Fat guy in the orange sweatshirt already gave to us"

I gave another $5 and said Well Played!!!!

A monkey has been on the loose in Walterboro SC since Thursday. If I was closer, I would drive down to help with the ape hunt.

Looks good! We replaced our liner two years ago and it's a beautiful dark gray. It hides dirt quite well.

Our goal was June 1st. It's above ground and my mortal enemy. Yours looks very nice!

Last year, my mom accidentally got the wrong chemicals for the pool. This year, I took care of all that. I also purchased a better cleaning system.

Above ground pools are especially tough to maintain. Janky little pump n filter system and usually a really high bather load compared to the relatively small gallonage. I recommend stocking a spare filter cartridge always clean you can switch out on the fly, a good high pressure hose nozzle for cleaning said filter and running that pump as much as you can afford energy wise. Plus keeping a 5.0 chlorine level all the time once the water is over 75 degrees. Better to dry out some skin and hair than fight cloudy water and algae blooms all summer considering the effort and expense and y’all’s relatively short swim season.
Get it up, keep it right and enjoy your pool as much as possible.
I was a pool guy years ago so feel free to reach out if I can help.

We tried an above ground for two or three years. We could never get the chemicals quite right so I threw it away.

Since you aren’t quite right, I’m surprised your wife hasn’t thrown you out.

Thank you! I appreciate the advice! Yeah, it had been hard to maintain. We had the dreaded algae bloom last season. I am prepared this year though. It got a thorough deep clean over the last two days.
