The last woman I was moving towards dating was my age and got mad that I turned down spending the night at her house with her 14 year old daughter present. I told her that was not the kind of person I was and there was no way that was happening.

I get a lot of younger women coming up to me. Like college aged women, which is weird 99.9% of the time. There's a place in town I avoid going now because this 19 year old started getting way to close. I'm not that kind of guy, never have been, never will be. I have set boundaries that I don't cross.

It's so much more laid back taking somebody older than me out. I don't drink, and she has a kid, so there's no pressure to go to bars or clubs. They both like sports, so if I say let's go to a game they are fine with it. If I say let's go watch a movie it's fine. She doesn't want to go to fancy restaurants or expensive places. At the basketball game, she refused to let me buy them anything else at the game when the daughter wanted nachos. She said, "you bought tickets, paid for parking, drove up here, and already bought us snacks, so you aren't spending any more." Monday, I offered to take us to a nice steakhouse, and she said Chic-fil-A was fine.

We had a meeting about hosting 2 different district all star tournaments. The point of contact for the baseball program allowed her assistant to take the week of the tournament off! I am pissed, once again this "partnership" is me and my direct supervisor doing all the work for this crap. We get screwed once again.

Not to mention, a 3 team tournament takes 5 days! How does a 3 team tournament take 5 days to complete? It should be Friday-Sunday max.

I can see that. It does seem you like to be controlled by older women

How can there even be a tournament with only 3 teams?

Battle Royale style. All 3 teams on the field at once.

It's all politics. The rules state that if you have more than 9 teams in your league, you are D1. Some leagues "split" into multiple leagues to be under 9 teams and play in the lower division since it is all smaller rural areas with worse teams. So, we are left with 3 teams in D1.

I did tell both of our all star coaches, who are brothers that I grew up with, that I didn't want to hear any talk of worrying about winning or losing. I wanted the kids to have a good experience and it to be fun. I didn't care if they went 0-2. They both said "oh man, you've changed, you use to be a win at all cost guy." I told them I now realize that winning is never final and losing is never fatal. The glory of "winning" fades away fast, and the agony of "losing" does the same.

I just don't have it in me to compete with anybody else anymore. The only thing I'm competing with is my idea of the life I want.

Sounds like you need to hand over the torch to someone else then.

Going all deep on us. Here I am with the night off hoping the rain ends so I don’t have to work a doubleheader tomorrow. Especially since it’s the same people in the 3rd base suite area that were rude the last time.

Yuck.

Nothing worse than rude people you are trying to appease.

Hoping I can get an unknowing coworker to switch sections with. Although rude the 2 ladies that were making my job harder than it had to be gave me rave reviews. I am working the suites Thursday through Sunday 2 have catered parties and 2 are just regular non party suite help for those games. So far tonight’s game hasn’t been canceled.

I'll try to film some of the idiot coaches and parents I have to deal with sometime and show you how they act. I've had parents at 10u football yelling for their team to break kids on the other team's legs.

It's just sports, it's not that serious. If your life is defined by winning and losing a sports game, I can tell you already what you are.

Senior parade over, it only lasted 15-20 minutes. Boo kid and 8 friends rode in the back of the FIL’s dump truck. Cars, ATVs, trucks, trailers, trucks pulling boats, and horses.
