Dave Roberts confirms Shohei is in the lineup. Oh dear, another stressful game.

Ohtani playing makes it stressful for you to watch? Are you worried about him making the injury worse and hurting his career long term?

Yeah it’s all relative. Cheaper for the rookie autos I found

It's always about the long term with this guy. Doesn't sound like he has pain dry swinging, but I worry about the shoulder if he chases a slider outside, and if he gets on base.

I completely agree! I don't want him to end up like any of the other players that had a tough time with a shoulder subluxation/dislocation. If he slides with caution and does not push his body he should be fine.

But even if he does need surgery for his long term health/stability of the shoulder joint, I have complete faith he will rehab and get back to normal (unlike Tatis or Bellinger).

In years past, him pitching would stress me out. This year was a lot more enjoyable for me to not have to worry about him pitching and getting hurt.

I got an offer for 9k on my Bowman pitching rookie auto PSA 9 auto 10. What do you guys think? Would it be foolish to sell now and try upgrading in the offseason?

Same, although for me it was more the fact that the Angels were usually garbage and it's all amplified more when your guy is on the mound. Reminds me of when my daughter is goalie in one of her soccer games, suddenly I'm more keyed into what everyone else on her team is doing (or not doing).

I don’t think we’re going to see too much of any drop in his market this offseason, especially if they win, barring an economic collapse. Things may stagnate though, which I would expect, because of the run up that’s already occurred.

It looks like a $9k offer for a BCA base PSA 9 is a fair offer, if not slightly above the sales history

Anyone pick up any Ohtani autos? I see a lot of non autos but wondering if anyone is buying autos or rookie autos

I don’t know anything, but separation of a power shoulder (even if he doesn’t miss a game) may scare the whales - especially if he doesn’t produce moving forward in the Series

Would you upgrade to a 10?

I picked up a 2018 TC green auto PSA 9 recently via trade. Gave up about $9k in trade. It was easier to trade into with cards I’m already “up” on vs buying since the prices I’ve seen for most are way high

Maybe if the price is right but I’m more into upgrading into a better parallel and less into the grade FWIW

Man that's a beautiful auto and a beautiful card. You've got me searching through Ebay at modern Davis autos, there's a lot of nice looking cards. All I have is a PSA 9 '85 Donruss and an '84 minor league card at this point. I'm not a big fan of archives signature series at all, but now I want to complete an Eric The Red run lol.

Can definitely smell 90 leaf, 87 donruss stands out too and with 88 Score all I remember were the little white fuzz balls on the edges that drove me crazy lol.

And yes Eric, 1992 Fleer Ultra is one of those burned in thr brain smells too! I forgot about that one. Gotta be top 3 for me as far as smells go. Those cards were so beautiful, the thick super shiny card stock was amazing. And that smell...the way thr cards slide off each other while going through a pack. Oh yeah.

Ohtani first pitch, fast ball hunting, bomb to right field?

Because that’s how he rolls right?
