It appears to have been unauthorized access to an email account (or accounts). Notably, this is being investigated by University police, not Ann Arbor, State Police, or FBI which may be an insight into the gravity of the situation. Not clear yet what the stakes are, so I'll hold off an opinion until we know more - in full knowledge of the consternation that will likely cause for the concerned citizens of East Lansing and Columbus!

Harbaugh told the NCAA to kick rocks when they demanded that he admit that he lied so they could justify the cheeseburger investigation. That is fantastic!

Now, back to the Weiss investigation! Rumor is that he not only hacked an account but posted a video online behind a Guy Fawkes (think "V for Vendetta") mask, though we can't be sure!

Meanwhile, SEC schools are giving players actual bags of cash, but let's not worry about that.

Well, if he's gone, and it wasn't related to the football program somehow (which is entirely possible at this point given the vagueness of the statement), then who cares? Wrongdoing was detected and the perpetrator dismissed. What else is supposed to happen? This was not an NCAA investigation (for a change), it was campus police. Still a strong possibility that for the purposes of the FB program that this was, in fact, a nothingburger. I mean if Jim Knowles had a cache of videos on his hard drive kicking puppies, that'd be bad for his employment, but it wouldn't necessarily represent and indictment of the anOSU program, right?
