Brady would need to get COVID/lose/have a bad game or two and Patty would need to win out and play like tonight. I think Brady will end up with it, but there's a shot.

Wow what a win, def a much needed w and I do think they end up the #1 seed in afc after this win

I will say and this may sound silly given the win and stats patty ended up with, but I can’t be the only one noticing he isn’t even going through progressions anymore. The final play to kelce he finally went to his 2nd progression while in the pocket. All game he would look at his first option and if it wasn’t there it became scramble backyard football. I know he always has had some backyard football in him hell it’s what makes patty patty. Just seems to me in years past that was always a last option and now it’s becoming the second option if first guy isn’t open

As a big patty guy and someone that def thinks he ends up in the goat conversation when it’s all said and done I really hope he can get this figured out asap, as he is one scary dude if he does.

It's clear that's what hes elite at.

He's a good pocket passer, but probably the best at improvising

What a game. Crazy up/down of emotions. I was pissed when he missed Hardman on the TD. But he was a stud when it mattered most. I love how 2 years ago Lamar was going to dethrone him, last year before the title game josh Allen, and then tonight Hebert. Like I’ve said in this thread, Only person to beat him in a playoff game is Tom Brady the Goat. Dude is now 12-0 on the road within the divison in his career. Good time to bring this one out.

Herbert didn't play poorly, that Parham dropped TD was a freak thing. I like (own cards of) both guys so was nice to see them both play well.

Nope.. didnt play poorly..

but he didn't get it done either. Had the ball with over a minute left and just needed a FG.

It's not the end of the world, he's still a stud. But let's pump the brakes before we put a guy with a losing career record on the same level and bonafide champions like Mahomes, Brady, and Rodgers.

I know... it's like we almost forgot about the 33 rushing yards he had too.

The 2017 optic gold bgs 9.5 #1/10 that I sold this summer in an eBay auction for 70k sold for 55k tonight in the ALT liquid auction. There are so many platforms out there now that it is hard to keep track but it looks like a lot of stuff went for very cheap. Might have to check them out next time.

Had no idea there was such a thing...

I'll have to check it out.

BTW... Good small app/business idea: Aggregator for sports card auctions.

Alt is run by the scummiest person in the hobby. Legitimately the only auction platform I will not sign up for.

They make bidding unbelievably difficult. Funds have to be in the account to have the level of buying power you want. I think you get a little credit, but still it’s just dumb. I saw the Mahomes yesterday and wanted to try and make arrangements, but decided not to.

I don’t get their rationale. Like if I want to buy a $55k mahomes, i may want to sell another mahomes to raise cash etc. Me transferring $55k into my account to maybe not even win the card just doesn’t make sense to me. I’m sure it does create quick transactions, but don’t see why they don’t give people a week or what not to gather funds or at least they know they’ve won before committing funds.

That sounds like a quick way to not get a lot of high end bidders into your auctions. I also didn't even know this auction even existed. Was it even advertised anywhere?

Something was still off with Mahomes last night, but I don't care. This was as classic Mahomes as you can have in 3 years. Scrambling when he has time in the pocket, scrambling when he doesn't have time in the pocket, weaseling his way around defensive linemen somehow avoiding sacks and fumbles, deep bombs to Hill. 4th quarter heart attacks. Classic Mahomes. That is exactly what chiefs fans and card owners signed up for. Mistakes and absurdly otherworldly plays.

It is, I'd be curious on PCP's perspective on this. If he was after a Champ ticket, raising $1m in cash and having it in his account to potentially not use is crazy to me.

For instance, since cash is paying absolutely nothing. A lot of my working capital is in a brokerage account. Why would I want to realize capital gains and potentially not even use the cash?

On the same token a bulk of people don't use outside funds on cards. They buy/sell/trade what they have to acquire more. If I wanted to make a run at a higher end brady and had to sell a few different cards with no guarantee of winning the card I want?

Good buying opportunities tho for those willing to play their game.

pages 977 through 1000ish are great read backs, just skimming through some of the pages.

Lots of members have exited the thread, or been banned.

Past TSonn was enlightened.

Not a big fan of their approach. If it is a card that I really want, I do not mind showing funds in my bank account, which is what I did with REA when I was bidding on their Champ Ticket. Moving funds in six to seven figures into their (ALT) account and having to move it back into into your bank account later if you don't win the card does not make sense to me.

Pro Football Focus had the Chiefs offensive line rated as the 2nd best in football. What am I missing here? They don't run the ball well and Mahomes is often under pressure.
