My plate umpire fell out last night during my game. I got him to the dugout and got some fluids in him, then finally got him upstairs to the AC in the press box. Told him to get his gear off, and gave him ice packs to cool him off faster.

He was fine after about 20 minutes. I told him he needs to start hydrating better when he is behind the plate and get out of the sun between innings.

This is a young guy, he's 19 and does the district tournaments and stuff. He wants to be an umpire for a career. It's been a process to get him to stop throwing everybody out of games. Last year, he ejected 2 brothers from the same game. I told him that every ejection caused me to have to do extra paperwork, and that unless somebody was being unruly they were not to be ejected. A 17 year old saying you missed that call is not worthy of a ejection.

Apparently he ejected a parent from a scrimmage last week after I left. I know the guy that he ejected, and the guy should get ejected a lot more. He's one of those daddy's that never played a sport, knows nothing about sports, but yells about every call. He once complained to me about refs in a 6-8 year old basketball game where we don't keep score.

The cottonwood tree decided to make it look like Christmas in July.

I might have mowed for the last time this summer. No rain in the 10 day forecast and it hasn’t rained for the past 4.

It wasn’t like a deer you see in Wisconsin.

1) it was alive
2) it was bound to move off the side of the road in the next two weeks

At the grocery store during lunch, I see a guy walk by the fried chicken and pick up a container. I'm guessing it had 8-10 pieces of chicken in it. He picks it up on one end with one hand. You guessed it, three piece of chicken fall out onto the floor. I waited to see if

a. He put the pieces back in the container and put it back.
b. Put the pieces back in the container and bought it.
c. Threw the pieces on the shelf area and bought the rest.
d. Left the pieces lay on the floor and walked away.

He picked them up and put the container back on the shelf, with the pieces on top of the container

Didn't get anything NN. I had to run an errand so I stopped in and nothing was appealing. I get you a pic of my lunch (I don't each much usually).

Went to the grocery store, didn’t buy food.

Helping out with that time of the month?

Picked up an air filter for my car at the Advanced Auto beside it.

And found time to watch a guy drop chicken on the floor? Sounds like a Tritty lunch break.

Get a half an hour, no one would know or care if it was longer. I made the trip out and back in 17 minutes.
