There is a subculture known as bosozoku who do exactly that. But of course they are limited to one or two swords a lifetime?

I dont think you can ply in the professional leagues with a tat, so its moot.

I think you need to get back to school and pay more attention to geography and current events in the news.

Perhaps you meant specifically a few select countries in 'East Asia' as 'Asia' contains many conflict zones and the Taliban - which most certainly like waving around swords!

Morant could have been a star in the league but like so many white middle class kids who grow up listening to ghetto rap they think they to can act tough like they are from the hood. Only difference with Morant he is not white and has/had star power that the media focused on him acting like a jackass.

Whatever the punishment is, Ja should just be thankful Stern isn't running the ship anymore (RIP).

I think Ja would have gotten 20+ games for the previous offense from Stern. Maybe half or a whole season. If you messed around with the league's image, Stern brought the hammer.

I'll go 20. I don't think torpedoing Memphis's entire season is good for the league, and Morant hasn't broken any laws. Miles Bridges got 30 games and he pleaded no contest to a pretty heinous felony.

I also think if they could find a way to get Ja's personal life back on track it would be good for the league. He's far and away one of the most electrifying guys to watch on a court and is one of the few guys from the last few years who could legitimately be a superstar.

Arenas was a first time offender. Morant was suspended a mere two months before this latest incident. I’m sure Silver is embarrassed.

I'm guessing somewhere between 30-40 games with league appointed counseling and community service tour. Along with an indefinite suspension stipulation for any future offenses.


More interested to see how the Grizz handle this. There will still be a ton of teams interested in his talents, regardless what people think of him as an individual.
