I've been watching the prices on this card like a hawk and we are finally seeing some positive momentum upwards. We are at under 40 BIN listings available and not much resistance between $240 and $300. Once the lowest price cards start getting gobbled up (which they will once buyers realize their target price won't get hit), sellers will start raising prices of their currently listed cards. Looking forward to seeing what today brings for the Blake Mattingly.

It would be very interesting and possibly very telling if we knew how many individual purchases each card had.

This is what i am really curious about... I wanna know if more than 20-25k people bought that Shore Griffey or if everybody was purchasing 10+. It would be tough to determine accurately with all the Pre-Sales on eBay thou.

Outside of TwinsJake and other mass presellers. I would LOVE to see the largest preorder lots. Im willing to bet a few folks bought upwards of 2-300 Griffeys.

Looking at the print runs of the other releases since--that are not as hyped, I would say that it was the ultimate test in the flipper experiment. I do think more people are coming into P2020, but my guess with the Griffey is that less people loaded up.

Get more watchers, with the floor so low people will be more interested in those auctions vice one that starts at like $100.

This is actually a sharp play...not dumb whatsoever. More action, more watchers, more eyeballs.... which then effects your 'ebay seo' on the item. More action is always better for a listing.

Starting at $0.99 is extremely smart. The dumb move is ending your auctions at 6AM est. (But sharp buyers know early birds get those worms)

I think to get actual bidders. Sometimes my watch list will be full and I'll bid on low dollar auctions to 'watch' them. I'm definitely seeing a notification on my phone when it's nearing the end, so that's a plus if you're the seller and lots of people bid while it was still low.

More bidders can mean more momentum at the end, too.

I usually start at $9.99 if it's going to end up near $100 or more. But $0.99 or even $0.01 is good too.

If you're starting an auction low and you're nervous it will get to the price you want, you should be using Buy-it-now instead (possibly with 'best offer' enabled).

Topps is really doing their best to make this collecting of the sets unenjoyable. Today I received my Rochester Griffey in a crappy no name case with a couple of minor scratches on back plus no invoice. Pretty ticked off.

It’s actually extremely smart and has a legit point- it costs more to list it a higher starting price.

For someone who hasn’t been here even a month, you sure say some really, really dumb things.
