I don’t think professional athletes have a mid-level mentality. I think athletes wanna win because it’s in their nature to compete. That being said, I don’t think anyone is pleased with not making playoffs. These guys had to win a LOT to make it to the professional level.

Ok, sure. But looking at the last decade, KC has made 2 World Series and the Yankees have made how many again? And in the last 11 World Series, there have been 10 different champions. The fact is, making the post season is a lot easier these days.
