Dallas just isn't a complete team. They live and die by the 3 ball because it's basically all they can do outside of Doncic and Brunson. It's how the team is constructed. They need a good Center badly. They're lacking the inside presence on both ends. Give them one of those and they'd be a dominant team. They don't even have consistent shooters and too bad they let go Seth should have kept him cause of all his defensive liabilities he is still a great 3pt shooter especially with these wide open looks.

Right. Everyone saying, “oh, they should drive more”. Really? Like it’s that easy? Do you see the paint when Brunson and Luka drive? There’s few easy baskets for this team. Luka’s job is to create open looks for the rest of the team. He is the best in the league at doing that. It falls on them to make shots.

I loved the amateur hour comment from Reggie Miller before the game. Luka’s usage is high in losses because they get to the point in those games where Luka has to start doing everything since he’s the only guy outside of Brunson who can create. It’s a self fulfilling statistic. Role guys shoot well, Luka takes fewer shots, Mavs win games because the role guys play well. Luka generally gets his no matter what. Just like game 2.

The Mavs should have Brunson and/or Spencer bring the ball up in the situation that they can produce a fast drive to the bucket since they can always kick it out to Luka to run the offense if nothing is there imo.

That Bullock brick off the top of the backboard from the paint is a great example of the role guys trying to get "easy points" or "easy layups".

Reggie Miller is annoying as an announcer you can hear the jealousy he has for Luka. He throws slight jabs at him whenever they're down with excitement in his voice.

People say he needs to be more passive and get the others involved. They also say he needs to be more aggressive. Well which one is it? He can't do both at the same time. He gives his teammates about 25 open 3 looks a game. If they make 'em everyone's happy. If they don't then he should've somehow done more to help his teammates make more baskets.

I was going to bid $3k on it. I had been looking for /5 Bronze Lukas for sometime and if I found one the price was much more than I was comfortable paying. So my $3k bid was somewhat based on just getting the card even if I over paid a bit. I think I did ok though as it was $1750 after tax out the door. Card presents very well so I really could care less
about the damage as there are 4 others out there, and when they surface they will probably be much more than I want to spend.

Thanks for the reply! And I agree that the condition doesn't matter much when there are only 5 in existence - I'm just a bit OCD and would have a hard time not seeing the condition every time I looked, but for resale, anything under $3k was a deal.

I've been watching the /5 chronicles for years - had a snipe in on the other one you won too! They obviously don't pop up very often and saved searches with "Chronicles /5" or "Chronicles bronze" always populate a bunch of non related cards.

Great card. I wonder if @dkcardman still has his copy? If so, BO members have at least 40% of the bronze phoenix Lukas.

Wiggins is having the series of his career and he's the difference in this series so far. Wiggins is outplaying Brunson. Brunson is the #2 for the Mavs is Wiggins is #4 or #5 on the Warriors.

Im not sure if dkcardman still has his or not. I have looked at his listings on ebay but have not seen that one listed. I did purchase a /10 Gold of Plates and Patches, /10 gold Majestic, and /10 gold Panini Rc #111 from him a few weeks ago at fairly good prices. So he is for sure moving some good stuff. The PSA 9 /5 Bronze #512 I won with a best offer..seller was asking $7k, but accepted my $2750 offer. So about $3k on that one after tax. A lot of $$ for a /5 Bronze but Im really not sure when Ill see another and what my competition will be driving up the prices if I wait.
