Have you guys been able to find anything suspicious through Heritage yet? Other than the original Mantle.

Your time is definitely best spent on eBay at least until the Moser trail is exhausted. With no bidder IDs, I’m sure Heritage would be much harder to piece together. Keep up the strong work!

I think any major auction house that we know Brent/PWCC or Moser bought from or consigned to we have to dig deeper into what they've sold. The '52 Mantle PSA 4.5 originally came from Heritage Auctions, so their past sales would be at the top of the list to check out of the big houses.

PSA Cert #:26256541

1948 Leaf #1 Joe DiMaggio PSA 6 to PSA 7

Sold on 4/19/2016 as a PSA 6 by eBay seller bigskysc to whitman111 (Gary Moser) for $1,299.95
Consigned to PWCC and sold on 3/11/2018 as a PSA 7 for $3,995.00
Value gain of $2,695.05!

Here we have another trimmed border on a 1948-49 Leaf baseball card. This Joe DiMaggio was lightly trimmed on the right edge. Not only does the white border look smaller when comparing the PSA 6 and PSA 7, but it is smaller. The red arrow points to the paper fiber that proves this. The detailed image shows how that unique fiber is touching the border in the PSA 7, while it does not in the PSA 6. The unique marks and paper fibers in the purple circles confirm they are the same card.

I know Marlboro Man Randy Johnson had several varieties, as well as Billy Ripken FF

I've looked at 100K+ of 1980's Topps and seen a lot of ink spots and such.

Mostly Bonds, Sierra, McGwire, Canseco.

When I see printing issues, I just toss the card.

I should know this, but never thought to compare them with other examples to see if the printing issues are random or repetitive.

Kinda like a die for a coin. Certain markers are fingerprints to authenticate a coin etc...

Just curious if there could be an explanation.

If there is no reasonable explanation, then this is pretty damning evidence.

SGC Cert #:8628621

1933 Goudey #53 Babe Ruth BVG 2.5 to SGC 3

Sold on 6/11/2018 as a BVG 2.5 by PWCC to whitman111 (Gary Moser) for $2,469.00
Consigned to PWCC and sold on 10/14/2018 as a SGC 3 for $5,105.55
Value gain of $2,636.55!

Here is another SGC-graded card that was altered by Moser (and another card found from a collector's tip). I believe that the recent shift from PSA to SGC is a result of higher PSA prices and long turnaround times. This Ruth was taken to the cleaners—literally. Notice the red marks are virtually gone from its time in a BVG 2.5 holder. The dirtier a card is, the more chemical soaking it takes to clean. And the more chemical soaking, the more the natural colors of the card are stripped away, as you can see especially on the green-printed reverse. True conservation is a benign act. This is alteration, all in the name of personal gain.

The green circle shows the red mark before and after. The blue circle shows there was a crease in the lower left corner that has been pressed out. PWCC's deceptive description of the SGC 3 confirms this: "Incredibly, this card is void of any typical wrinkles or creasing."

Per VCP, Moser bought the PSA 2 on the left. He then bought the PSA 2 on the right from eman_28551, who bought it from PWCC after the trimming. Therefore, be on the lookout for this after after more work is done.

I believe it's been stated but I'm convinced that Brent(or the "salt of the earth" guy) screens all consignments for cards that can be improved or "conserved" and let's Moser know so he can bid/win them. Moser does his dirty work, resubs to PSA and sends them back to PWCC to resell for profit. I wouldn't be surprised if Moser is on the payroll. Yes, all speculative, for now, but this is ridiculous.
