Goldin does like to brag about the prices his cards sell for compared to other auction houses. Thought it was odd that the site would crash when another PSA 10 Jordan was scheduled to end. |

....I think goldin's '87 # 59 psa 9 ended at $ 9,600 which is closer to 9k than 5k. LOL a) maybe you shouldn't bet, and b) good luck on waiting for them to come down to 4k. |

Nice. Is this the type that keeps adding 30 min to the auction from final bid?

$600,000 is a lot of money, but, the sky is falling!

Wow, PSA 10s went for $750k 2 weeks ago and you could get one for $600k tonight. That's a helluva drop in a short amount of time. I'm sure the website going down didn't help, but it seems like the 57 is definitely cooling off.
Then again, one of the 9s is at $79,200 which isn't bad at all. |

This is a pretty huge decline for the card. Everyone thought the card was heading to a million or higher but simply put, there are just too many of these Jordan rookies out there right now! A new listing in all grades (bgs, psa) is popping up literally every few minutes for sale. I hope this card keeps going up but I just can't see demand keeping up with supply. This card was bound to fall and I think it will continue to fall across all grades. Hopefully, I am wrong but it is already starting to happen!

Why doesn’t Goldin display the buyer’s premium?

Yea. Have to think there are more than 332 wealthy people or whatever the card population is looking for this card. Can't see it falling too much.

That is 100 percent true, but at the prices we are seeing now, I can't see it sustaining. The average Joe for sure wants a Jordan fleer rookie, but the average Joe doesn't have the type of money needed to buy the card at these prices, so that is why the price is going to slowly move downwards. Just my humble opinion though, I very we'll could be wrong, especially during this unprecedented boom in cards.

If MJ's RC dropped to negative value, and I had to pay a fee each day to own one, I would pay that fee. The MJ 57 Fleer RC is my favorite card of all time. I cannot express how much I love this card. I've had the copy I have now since 2004 and it makes me happy to even think about the card and owning it. This is how strongly I feel about a piece of cardboard from 1986. Peace.

Not all PSA 10s are created equal. It could be argued the one that went tonight was on the borderline of a 9 and 10. The eye-appeal was a bit off too on the centering.
Oh, and it probably didn't help that the BGS 9.5 in lot #4 looked like a better copy of the card.

I don't think that's how it works long term with these Jordan 86 fleer rookies.
