Fortunately my consignment heavy personals are months away and the 2 subs that could pop in February can be covered by my balance. I hope March brings smooth sailing of grade to consignment.

I'm sure it is somewhere in this thread but what do you guys do for shipping? I had probably over 3k worth of cards that I wanted to insure but FedEx will only insure up to 1k for collectibles. I went ahead and chose 2 day and shipped through them. What do you guys usually do for this? Its got me nervous that something might happen on the way.

Buy outside collectibles insurance - I use a company called collect insure - they cover your collectibles in the home as well as in transit etc. much better than fighting with usps or taking the risk with fedex.

I just signed up last month when I had a package with $5k worth of stuff that I overnighted take 11 days that was the final straw for me and I needed the protection haha.

I’m not sure how they handle that - my guess would be that they don’t - but I would just call them/email them since it’s clearly not lost yet.

remind me what are their requirements regarding how you ship? I remember them being specific about how you ship to be covered. Can’t just drop it in a flat rate box and send it off as I recall.

Fedex with signature required, thats what collectinsure says to use for packages up to $15k.

gotcha. i thought someone mentioned in the past doing registered mail and having to tape up the box really specifically.

I ship registered mail. Insure up to 50k and it's cheaper/more secure than any other method. You can use any box, just have to tape any openings with brown packing tape - I buy it at Uhaul for $2 a roll. They will also give it to you for free at the post office but I prefer to do it at home.

I ship all the time and never had an issue. By far the most secure method. This is how the silver/gold companies ship product.

We had at least 6 over the weekend. We dont get all the emails, its very strange. This winter storm on LI has rendered travel impossible, office is not open today so no return orders will be processed. You should still get emails if orders were processed over the weekend as we are still playing catch up on that and we will be doing an update tonight.

Anyone in the path of the storm stay safe and enjoy your families.

at least based on non of the cards I subbed adding to the pop report.

USPS seems to be back to normal. I've noticed some of my recent packages have gotten to PCS in 2-3 days first class as opposed to 1-2 weeks a month ago. Hopefully this massive snowstorm on the northeast doesn't disrupt things too much for USPS/FedEx.

Just checked in on the status of Standard 187 and still shows as “shipped to PSA.” Is it normal that they wouldn’t have even accepted it yet?

Yes. Its been taking about 2-3 months after shipment to see it in research and ID. Expect March to show anything.

Would be normal if bulk but this is very unusual for Standard as most during this time was checked in within a week or 2. I’ve been checking this one nightly because my son and I both have cards in it.

As Josh said sometimes things just get missed I had a sub go from research to complete a couple weeks ago. I agree it’s unlikely but it’s possible!
