One of the lows of my hobby career was selling both way too fast. I think they each yielded max $1.5k or less at the time of my sale.

Nobody ever went broke taking a profit. I wouldn't dwell on it too much. If anyone has bought and sold cards, they have gone through this. Keep on collecting!

Thank you guys! Yeah I was pretty happy picking this up in a trade. Traded some cards I was already up pretty decently on, so the price sting was blunted. I mentioned this before but I definitely think greens are overlooked, especially when considering print run. Also, really dig the red and green look of this… funny I just now noticed the Christmas connection! Good work Qubits! Probably why I liked it so much! Haha

I see a BGS 9 before last season sold for 15.4 K, and a BGS 9 sold late last season for 22.5 K.

Can anyone tell me about this card? I know they had cards with auto wording that did not actually have the auto, but this one does and is card #1 which I can't find any others of. I do see the same image auto'd but it is card #SCBA-SO.

2022 SC refractors had the incorrect Topps auto language on the back, not the front. I would assume that one is fine. The on-card non-chorme version also uses one of the first versions of his C-8 auto. I remember us all being disappointed that the sticker featured the better auto.

Got it. Being #d to /25 what type of value would you put on this being a sticker, but the old auto as you mentioned.

Probably 800-1.2K range. The sticker really limits it without it being a rookie or exclusive set. SC chrome sticker autos historically sell poorly since there are on-card versions.

Even the 2018 superfractor sticker auto sale was meh.

950 in trade is an appropriate value. I do like the fielding image and the SP from that year is also my all-time SC favorite. Recommend the pairing.

The 2018 Transcendent Japan set ($25k) had an invite ticket to do a q&a with Shohei in Q1-2019. At that event, they gave a 50 card set #d to 50 for "Through the Years" images that showed iconic Topps designs from 1952 to 2018. While these images were created in 2018 for the Transcendent Japan set inclusion as 1/1 autos (50 1/1 autos), they labeled these non-auto versions /50 as 2019 despite the RC logo since the event took place in 2019. I find this funny, as Topps breaks this rule at least 10 times a year now. People used to talk down the values of these cards because it's labeled as 2019, but I think many have wised up.

Anyway, 2018 is the last card of the run, and also his actual rookie year with the flagship vertical batting design that everybody craved. It's arguably the most valuable card in the set aside from maybe 1952.

And no, this is not the big card I intended to buy

Between 40/40 and 50/50 when prices were flying i was itching to buy cards like everyone, but knew it was best to wait. To scratch that itch, I bought out all of SCC's Sho through the years BGS 9.5 slabs and cracked them out. Got hit with a few upcharges.
