Really hope he gets to 400 TBs. It's a rare feat. No one in MLB has done it since 2001 when four players did it with a juiced ball.

Ohtani has 396 and Judge with 392. Judge has 50 more walks than Ohtani, but, as we know, walks don't count toward total bases.

This is an Archives Fan Favorites RC auto. I have a 2018 RC Shohei auto that's the 1971 design.

1983 was done in flagship in 2018, yes.

392 Total Bases + 133 Walks + 9 HBP’s + 5 ROE’s - Judge has attained 539 bases out of the batters box and it could be higher. 550 is Ruth / Bonds like.

Ohtani has totaled 485.

I didn't think he could top the 62 homer season...but I'm more impressed by this year. All those homers with a .325 average...ALL RISE

He's having a better season than his 62 homerun season.

2022 and 2024 are probably 2 of top 10 offensive seasons in MLB history (I am not counting some of the steroid era (1998-2004 seasons) when guys like Richard Hidalgo batted .314 with 44 HR and 122 rbi and finished TWENTIETH in MVP voting!

SLG .709 now....insane

He has definitely taken it up a level this year. Career highs in hits, doubles, RBIs, walks, batting average, OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+, total bases, WAR, and oWAR.

All with an April that was pedestrian. Could’ve beat his own record with just an average for him April.

Taking out the steroid era (97-2004), Is this the best post-WW2 season of all time?

Its up there. 1957 had two insane seasons by Ted Williams and Mantle

Williams: .388/.526/.731 wRC+ 223
Mantle: .365/.512/.665 wRC+ 217

Based on fWar, Judge's season this year is smack in between those two.

Harold Reynolds was comparing it to 1961 Mantle and 1965 Mays and it compares favorably to both there was one other season he compared it to but I forget who. The only stat he was behind in home runs runs batted in and average was Mays’s 147 runs batted in in 1965 and he has 3 games to try and match or beat it needing at least 3 RBI’s .

Williams missed some time that season. His %'s are downright absurd, but the runs, homeruns, rbis arent there.

But those %'s....wow!

Yeah I noticed he only played 130 something games, but from a rate standpoint its absurd what he did. I'm not naïve enough to think the steroid era is over, but Judge is putting up some of the best seasons of all time.

then you have the 6 foot 7 Judge, with the largest strike zone....playing centerfield....and doing this.

The 1961 season had 2 players having insane numbers and that doesn’t include Maris, Mantle and Cash. Both had accumulated 491 bases out of the batters box.
Their slash lines were outstanding but neither won. The highest player in Run Production was actually Jim Gentile and Colavito & Maris out up huge numbers as well. I’ll have to verify their slash lines.

Cash .361/.487/.662/1.148. 201 OPS+
Mantle .327/.448/.687/1.135. 206 OPS+

Mantle reached 497 bases safely in 1956 & 491 in 1961.
