Went to play a pickup game of pond hockey this afternoon, got all laced up, went to warm up a bit, stopped hard to take a one timer and my front blade broke completely free of the skate. Suffice to say I ate it pretty hard.

Just a bruised elbow, luckily.

Never had that happen before. Lesson learned, inspect the equipment a little more often.

Haven’t skated in forever but I could skate well in hockey skates but sucked wearing figure skates. At my age and 2 surgeries later I wouldn’t even attempt it now.

I love this weather. Spent a couple hours up in a tree stand yesterday afternoon with my oldest son. Just enjoying the cold while the snow fell.

Tomorrow morning is going to be interesting with the snow. It may be a telework day for me.

We talked to the youngest SD last night more about her wedding plans. They trimmed the guest list down to 100. It's probably going to be the most unusual wedding I've ever been to; sounds like zero traditions.

No one who is single and not in the bridal party can bring a plus one.

She isn't having either of her sisters in the bridal party (can't wait for this to be told to them and the argument to ensue especially since she wants to use our granddaughter as a flower girl)

No one is walking her down the aisle.

No religious style ceremony or vows.

Having the old fire house chief's kids be "ring security" and they will be dressed like Men In Black agents.

Same here. I meant to bring my laptop home Friday but forgot, so I’ll other run in today and grab it or just use a comp day from an event back in October. Maybe take the kids skiing, though they’ll probably have another pointless “flexible instruction day”.
