I suppose that's a nice thing about Heritage autos. Its probably a lot more difficult to "wipe" a bad auto and get them resigned than these chrome cards.

It'd be so simple for a card company to have an image database that they shared with PSA for every numbered auto and patch card to stop nonsense like this. The fact that they don't do it tells me they don't care.

The BCA pitching red had a known streaky copy. In 2021, the referenced card magically popped up with a 2020-21 version signature. Sho's signature in 2013-2018 never featured that style. And to make it worse, he only signed that exact way for sticker autos. Educated guess is that someone less informed wiped the auto and traced a sticker auto from the wrong "era."

It's also possible Sho re-signed it, but it being his sticker auto stroke casts some reasonable doubt. At the very least, that autograph is not from 2018.

Interesting... thank you for the knowledge. Having one less legit copy out there is terribly disappointing.

Honestly, if members on this forum, can pick apart Shohei's auto, history and progression, I'm pretty dismayed (but not surprised) PSA's auto experts are not up to snuff.

They should be hiring TB for consultation and some continuing education classes at the very least!

For RCs, a 2018 Topps 700 Rainbow Foil in a PSA 10.

For Dodger cards, the 2024 Topps Chrome Lightboard Logo is pretty cool. Dodgers cards will likely be much more affordable down the road.
