My bad. eBay's "Sold Items" filter was deceiving me.

No worries, I've just been following these closely because I have one.

It will be interesting to see what the first PSA 10 does. I wonder if there's enough hype to eclipse 10k.

Keep the Carrying Bag. That Bowman set gets a lot of love.

Bowman Chrome > Bowman Sterling for me, on lineage/pedigree alone.

What a great problem to have !

Hate to be that guy that keeps reminding people, but Bowman Sterling continuity is part of the Bowman Chrome set/release.

I definitely agree on the amount of C-8 autos in the future, but I love the 1975 card design, red ink auto and the card showing him on base from what I’d imagine will end up being his best SB season. Of course, I’d be happy to be proven wrong. Anything’s possible with Shohei

Yes, indeed, it is, but had they called it Bowman Chrome Continuity it might not matter as much, imho.

For the well-informed (might even suggest above average on the "well" portion) collector they would know that.

For the less-than/newer/unaware collector, it looks and feels like a different set.

And, from my perspective, the more mainline, the more better.

They do indeed look very different, design wise. The background feels like the topps gilded design in all silver. I am partial to that card as you all know

Don't get me wrong, it is a beautiful baseball card and my cheap-butt would love to have one!

I think the horizontal design makes it less attractive than the vertical bowman chrome.

I'm going to take this shameless photo opportunity. I love the silver. Atomic is nice too (similar color wave).

*lack of uniformity is unsettling.

When I had to decide which Ohtani card from the PC to sell to fund half of the Real One Auto I bought last month it ultimately came down to which card I thought would be easier to replace if I ever regretted it later on. That's how I landed on the Finest auto rather than one of my S2 #ed parallels or the Heritage Black Refractor.

Very glad VDM advertised he was selling 4 of them in this thread so I saw it. I never actually venture into BST.

Nice.

If I ever take the mega plunge again, I will likely plunge in that (HTG Blk Ref) direction.

Funny story is that I graded a BGS sterling auto card in early 2019. I then begrudgingly let it go during the "first boom" in 2021. I then bought a BGS 9.5 just last year without thinking much of it. The auto looked awfully familiar so I verified later it was the same card .

I just didn't have the heart to crack a BGS 9.5 that I graded myself. My how BGS has fallen since then.

I sold two of those 9.5s to VDM a long time ago so it's possible I graded yours

Man that guy took a strange turn.

If you recognize this let me know. If I ever cross it to PSA maybe I can get "The Mayor's Collection" on the flip.
