Vinyl ain't cheap! I wanted to listen to Burial's Untrue, but the cheapest on eBay would still run around $50 with shipping.

Found the Beatles White Album. I told him it could be worth a few bucks and I wasn't gonna sell it at the sale.

2 young girls, probably 14 or 15 LOVED vinyl. I recognized their father as someone who came into the LCS. I had the Albums marked at $2 ea. There were about 40 of them. I told they could have them all for $25. They were thrilled.

At the end of the day the White Album was on the POS F-I-L table. Never saw it again. He probably hid it and my POS S-I-L probably took it
fail....should have let those girls have it and told them what it was

True, I’m sure Mrs Sux has dropped some colorful language in his direction today.

Pretty sure that isn't as easy as presented

It is that easy when Dave has a nametag that reads "Dave".

It's another thing when Dave has a nametag that reads "David". Furthermore, it gets more complicated by "Dave" having a complete meltdown, when you call "Dave" "David" because you read Dave's nametag.

No one mentioned a nametag. Seems simple enough to me don't be an a hole and don't be an idiot, it's not that hard. There should be 0 debate over calling people what they'd like to be called.

That's because Dave had no say in what was put on his name tag. His autonomy was taken from him. We should be asking why is the person making the name tags on a power trip.

The "nametag" in the scenario is the person's presentation

Think the whole "It's Ma'am" scenario

Sure. But Dave has autonomy and say in Dave's reaction.

Right, and in the situation I'm describing there is an interaction where the person tells you what they want to be called and I'm saying just call them that. Your "it's ma'am" scenarios you've been fed through whatever media you consume aren't going to be the norm. Most people aren't going to be upset over an honest mistake or when you had no way of knowing.

I would really like an Arby's roast beef sandwich.

When I was a kid there were 3 fast food places next to each other on Rt 1 in Dedham.
McDonalds, Arby's and Burger King. And across the highway was Sammy White's Bowling alley.

Sometime we ate before playing pool and bowling and playing video games and pinball. Sometimes after.

I would always get an Arbys sandwich and McDonalds fries.

There is an Arby's near Millbury.
