He did get 3 pitches right in the middle of the plate.. 2 swinging strikes and just missed a foul ball.
Those 3 could for sure have been a HR

On to Houston..

3 BBs, 1 almost a HR, 1 strikeout

Id say it was a pretty decent game

Counting "almost" HRs now as part of a "decent" game...

I just dropped over 200 clams on a Gypsy Queen Auto. I remember a few months ago seeing a bunch at $50 BIN's.

Prospecting. I'm doing it wrong.

I think he's referring to him getting on Base three times and scoring once- don't have to homer for a good game!

Indeed - Me too

Although I did grab a few in Early June - Not enough, I should of grabbed MOAR! Currently sorting and sending to PSA.

No Autos though, I sold all of them privately and made decent $$ with no PP or ebay fees involved

With prices as they are, it is getting to be a little not worth while buying to flip.

That may change though. If he has a solid ASG outing and keeps his pace then prices will keep going up and so todays prices will be looked at as steals in late July.

It is all a gamble at end of day.

If he is in the HR derby, he will hit a shot or two that make people hit some insane BIN prices. I would expect that to be near the peak...maybe.

Preach. The way I look at it is like this.... It's a foregone conclusion that he will break the Yankee rookie record for HR's. His cards will almost certainly see a spike after that. Then those of us who wish to sell are left with a decision. Do we unload then or roll the dice that he breaks the all time rookie record? I'm still on the fence. Part of me just wants to say screw it and keep them no matter what cause I like the kid.

Hope so!

Question though: How could a solid HR Derby outing making sale prices go up?
Those do not count towards the HR count he has for the season. And those are sweet spot pitches, so not a real MLB pitch.

I mean, we already know he has the power and can knock em out if he gets good pitches - Not understanding why the HRD should spike up prices.

Spike if he wins the HRD?

What if he does not win the HRD but keeps his MLB pace? Then does the HRD not have an effect?

You should sell what you need to make good $ - because at end of day that is what we all want out of this flipping game... $$$

You should also hold on to a few of his key rookie cards long term just in case he has an even crazier rest of the season, playoffs and WS?? You never know.

I personally am going to hold onto like 20 or so long term because he is showing traits of being a core player for this team. I am thinking like holding for the length of his career type hold.

If you are wondering what a standout performance in the HR Derby will do to card prices, let's take a trip down memory lane.

It gives EVERYONE a chance to watch him live, which is why I said a good HR derby would make things go higher. If he hits 2-3 500+ foot shots, look out.

Good thing he wasn't the one playing RF last night, this place would be a war zone.

You must be too young to remember josh Hamilton at yankee stadium I believe in 2008. His base topps traded went from $2 to $30 plus overnight and his topps traded auto from $30 to over $1000++ because of his home run derby performance.
