Here are some factual stats for anyone clueless enough to claim Luka and Harden are the same player and then also claim they are only stating facts.
James Harden through age 23 season
298 games, 3.8 Rebounds per game, 3.8 Assists per game, 16.2 Points per game, 142 career steals, 1 Triple Double
Luka Doncic currently age 23
296 games, 8.6 Rebounds per game, 8.0 Assists per game, 27.2 Points per game, 332 career steals, 53 Triple Doubles
Anyone who can look at this and still claim they are the same player should quietly leave the Luka thread and never return due to shame(though we know that will never happen).

Because without him they're one of the worst teams in the league. That's about as simple of an answer as you're going to get. And that's not an exaggeration. He is the Mavs. They should rename the team the Dallas Doncics

Also as bad as the mavs roster is they were missing key players as well

Very Impressive stats and even more impressive was how he tied the game and helped them win in OT. Stats without a winning attitude is worthless and they come and go. Stats with a desire to win as well is something special like Luka is. Must watch basketball IMO.

Agreed. He was like the kid who got the GI Joe with the Kunfu grip for Christmas. Most will miss the meaning on that one. But he was excited and that enthusiasm is infectious.

His Reaction after that shot was awesome!!!! They were showing it on the big screen at the game a few times after that! Kid in a candy store for sure while trying to remain calm. Less we not forget this kid is still like 22 years old or something crazy like that.

Even if you ignore Luka's stat line, it was one of the greatest comebacks in NBA history. Down 9 with 33 seconds. To win that was a legendary game without the stats. Add in the stats? Easily one of the greatest games of all time.

There have been a handful of games over the last couple years where Luka was having a ridiculous stat night but the team was also dominating the game so he didn't have to play in the 4th quarter at all and he'd only end up with 30/12/9 or something. We all suspected 50/20/10 was in play for those games and last night was a game where he needed to play the whole game so we finally got to see it all play out.

Gonna go ahead and pat myself on the back for seeing Luka's greatness 5 years ago when everybody told me I had no idea what I was talking about. I guess it pays to actually watch players instead of just browsing some box scores every once and a while

It's not fair to Harden to compare like that because Harden was the 6th man during his years in OKC. Thus his numbers would naturally be lower. How do the numbers compare per minute?

Here are the per 100 possession #s in the age 23 season for Harden and age 22 season for Luka (we’ll use last completed season to be fair).

Luka: 40.4p/13.0r/12.4a on 45.7/35.3/74.4 shooting with 1.6 steals and 6.4 TO
Harden: 33.8p/6.3r/7.6a on 43.8/36.8/85.1 shooting with 2.4 steals and 4.9 TO

I always knew a 50 pt triple double is possible with him at any time but i didn't expect it to be 60-21-10 with the rebounds so high i figured the assists would be higher with him being a PG and all. Though he's had some big rebound nights before.

I also think it's very possible he might get a few 50 point triple doubles with 20 assists some special night when his teammates are on point knocking down shots at a high rate. The guy does things that never cease to amaze me on a fairly regular basis year after year. He's an incredible talent for sure and quite the resume for someone only 23.

Pretty amazing how pedestrian his play can feel when he elects for an abundance of twos over threes. Down the stretch he was great (as were others), but the rest of the game just felt like another Luka game.
