I keep telling myself to stick to buying 2018 Ohtani cards but when I see a cheap red parallel with a great image...my will is weak

Courtesy of a certain fellow Mayoral member of this thread, I acquired this beauty. I unloaded quite a bit to obtain it but in the end, I am really happy with my decision. My collection already tends to skew red refractor and this really fits in with the rest. The 2018 Topps design is money and many flowers have already been said in its appreciation, so I wont go to far into that. However, I will say I do appreciate how strong the red coloring really dominates the background. Really stunning, the color is. I appreciate the textured wave design, giving the card added depth. It may be just me and how my taste will sometimes skew to the contrary, but green refractors, waves are awesome. I do appreciate the opportunity to own such a card and needless to say, it's found a loving home! Thanks for looking!

Updated my Sho PSA 10 vertical - 2018 - 2024

Also learned that very (and I mean VERY) indirect sun + a case with 92% Clear Acrylic Panel with UV Protection + Superior Fit sleeves = significant wrinkling of sleeves at the very least. (And possible UV exposure at the very worst)

How long was that display up? I have something very similar that i've completed, for a different set focus (I'll prob post on a different thread). Mine is in one touches, with superior fit sleeves. The only difference is that I custom fitted a cardboard cover over the acrylic for when its not in active viewing, since I have autos

Makes me happy when some of my nicest cards land in the hands of some of the purest collectors. I wish I had infinite funds to keep them all while pursuing other big fish, but the process of give and take is what makes collecting fun. And that's what makes BO a great place to congregate

I cheated a little and bought 4 ichiros that were pulled into the light form the HoF stuff (all the same card, if you nah mean). But I have my eyes set on a big Sho that I will probably not win, but will never know unless I raise the funds and try.

Thanks for being a great contributor, not only with massive cards, but also being a huge contributor with your knowledge! Not too proud to say I’ve learned a lot about the intricacies of Shohei cards from you and other great people here.
