PSA is being really mean to Sho cards right now. Disgusting grades for things that gemmed in the summer. Good luck!

Do we know if PSA is slabbing the 2018 TCA Red /25 again?

They are not. Their sister company SGC told me they would be happy to grade so am planning to drop it off at their booth next weekend. I’m considering having them grade the BCA blue as well, we shall see.

Planning to take this along with my TC red auto to next weekend's West Coast Card Show to drop off for grading. Authentic just wasn't doing it for me.

Fact is, I am not moving either of these cards for a while, if ever, and would prefer to hand down to my children so they could get a step up in basis and they should be able to sell for a handsome profit and avoid capital gains tax (I am making wild assumptions that I am making wise investment decisions and no I am not planning on dying for a long time but who knows, right!?).

Final photos before I attempt to slab these puppies:

In the end, it's just cardboard and is meant to add joy, not consternation. When I get to the point this hobby causes me more grief than joy I'll know it's time to step away. Far from it at this point!

Happy Collecting to All!!

Good luck punct! Any blue with Shohei is always a nice pseudo color match, now that he's a Dodger, and I really like the TCA Red /25... Very attractive. I'd like to pick one up myself at some point. I only wished PSA would slab it, even as an error. Please keep us posted!

Is this only an issue with high end pop control?

I do not have an adequate sample size but I it seems to be across the board. That said, PSA has expanded a lot with many new graders so it could just be inconsistency. I had an order that got sent to NJ and oddly all my Shos got really bad grades and the east coast team guys did better. I have a stack of 50/50 chrome that I'm now reluctant on submitting.

Anyone else catch that Super Bowl commercial with an Ohtani dong? Love to see it!

A quick question for the experts on a pretty big card I am considering.

2018 Bowman's Best B18-SO Gold Autograph. That's the easy part, the tough part.....serial number 50/50.

How much of a premium do you think the 50/50 serial number is worth?

Card is raw, but looks clean.

Any input is appreciated.

Sales history say it's about 1.5-3x multiplier but depends on the set. The more mainstream and lower price point, the more it tends to be closer to 3x. Goldin has ran a few 50/50 serial rookie cards and I think they are checking in closer to that 1.5x.

Great. Thank you very much. Seems like it will go well past that multiplier so no worries for me.

I can definitely tell you the 50/50 premium has cooled down a bit. With the actual 50/50 product and hype in the rearview, more people have come to their senses.

That makes sense. I just don't follow the market that closely. It was a potential surprise gift for my wife, but I guess not. Maybe tickets to the season openers at Tokyo Dome will be cheaper and more appreciated!

Unless your wife is a huge card collector, the experience will be worth more to her than the card. Sounds awesome!

Has anyone seen any 50/50 auto relics? I would assume they were redemptions but haven't seen any of those either. I've seen everything else from the product.

Not as big as some in here but I absolutely love the True Photo variation. Finally picked one up.

Yea it looks like they're redemptions. A few days ago, someone posted their redemption card on reddit.
