Heyman: indians acquire guyer in deal

Rosenthal: Dillon Tate would head to #Yankees in Beltran deal.

Brandon Guyer is a nice addition for the Yankees. Versatile player will fit their M.O.

I don't think the Yankees are in Boston's crosshairs at this time....

You're probably right, but I'm just hoping that this is the case. Really don't want Sale.

Would think the Yanks would try to move Nova, McCann for sure. Don't think they could get much of anything for CC but might want to move on

Tate has been disappointing overall this season, but assuming he's healthy, the Yanks pulled off a heist.

#1 farm system overall. Not afraid to say it.

A lot of people say Tate hasn't been performing great. Mayo says he's not 1 of Texas' better prospects. They act like he's coming up tomorrow. Give the kid some time.

For sure. Can't really see him having the same kind of season next year.

Wow.

Stearns is a genius.
Not as lopsided as it looks...

#1 - Susac isn't really much of a prospect anymore, being 26, still in AAA, and having fallen behind Trevor Brown on the Giants depth chart.

#2 - The Giants get Smith for 3+ years...he'll replace Javier Lopez next year and will fulfill Jeremy Affeldt's role as well, being better against righties than lefties. Don't forget, Casillia, Romo, and Lopez are all FA's at the end of this year.

Bickford is the big loss, but the Giants have historically had a pretty good track record trading away pitching prospects, with only Francisco Liriano having had a decent career of all the SP prospects the Giants have traded away over the past 25 years.
