My apologies but that was me. I didn't honestly expect to win with my bid but was pleasantly surprised i did. I owned the 2018 Trevor Story version of this card sold it about 2 years ago. One of those cards I instantly regretted selling because they never come for sale at a reasonable price. I'm very happy to have landed the Verdugo and have another one of these beauties in the collection.

Crazy the NICE year he's having and his value is going down. I think he's a sold BUY right now, with Devers, Xander, and JD they are heading to the playoffs and will have a nice run! I sold (2) Blue 2014 BGS 9.5/10 autos about a month or 2 ago for $450 a pop, and one just went on auction for $330!

He’s a perfect PC player - someone who will be consistently top of the league, so fun to see for years, and potential HOF candidate (always a risky bet), but overlooked by flippers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So true! Just realized I forgot the market as a whole is down a bit, so I guess it makes sense!

Anyone catch the audio of Verdugo today? He is an absolute blast to watch play.

I'm a Braves fan, but I love watching Verdugo play and talk about the game. So much positive energy. Will definitely try to grab a couple of his RCs for my collection.

This kid is just awesome. Does everything well. Sprays the ball everywhere, plays hard, versatile OUtfielder, huge arm, 20-25 Hr pop.
And best of all 28 strikeouts all year. He puts the freaking ball in play. I love it |

Honest question, Why aren't his rookie cards blowing up? How much does him pictured with another team on them (Dodgers), play into what people are willing to invest in?

He's trending up but he's still a 25yo with a career .804 OPS and 27 total HR to his name. He's a good player, but he hardly stands out as a widespread hobby interest.

If he continues a career like he's started with I think he's a borderline HOFer... I keep buying. |

This is only his first "full" MLB season, so I give his HR totals a bit of a cut. Has been injured a bit and never got to play daily with the Dodgers.

Enjoy him for what he is: a true home fan favorite. And relatively inexpensive to collect someone who is a blast to watch in all aspects of his game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He might sneak into a few All Star games for his career, but I wouldn't expect a perennial selection. It's tough to get hobby love when you're not among the elite and he isn't. |

It just seems like there is almost unlimited money out there for guys "destroying" AA pitching and far less for guys actually doing well at the highest level.
Alfonso Soriano comes to mind, if anyone here remembers him.

Are players allowed to get hobby love from their hometown fans, even if they aren’t setting HR records??? BTW today’s HR I believe was hit further than anything his teammate Devers has done... so it’s also not like he has no power Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I totally respect the collecting aspect. I'm not shaming anyone or Verdugo at all. Just answering the question of why he's not in the limelight of the hobby conversation.
