That's crazy. They are actually on Spotify with '23 monthly listeners', which is insanely low for something on Spotify.

As best I can tell, all of 'their' songs are about big cartoon boobs.

Just got my first grad student paper written by AI.

Almost word-for-word what I got from ChatGPT when I asked it to generate a "detailed academic-style review of James McPherson's Battle Cry of Freedom."

And when I say "almost word-for-word," I mean that many sentences used the exact same adjectives and things like the list of primary sources used by McPherson were copy+pasted.

With the way this grad class is set up (by the department, not me), about the only thing I can do for the students I know are using ChatGPT is to go in and actually pull their sources.

Usually I can find something that the AI got wrong or significantly misrepresented and then I hammer the grade for that.

Still, very tedious.
