any guesses on the percentage of people actually buying mosaic who are not flippers, sneakerheads, soccer moms, gary vee followers and general losers who have no interest in sports cards collecting or actually enjoy the hobby, but are just in it for the quick buck? It has to be well over 50% at this stage, perhaps closer to 75%.

This wont end well. None of this stuff will hold its value except for a few future HOF rookies and the icons (perhaps Lebron and Zion cards assuming Zion pans out). Every thing else will be in the 10 cent box.

I dont blame these flippers for making money. When its this easy, why not. But its not good for the long term value of the gazillion different panini cards produced this year. If I happen to find some of this stuff I will flip it too and use the money to add to my vintage collection.

Remember back in 1986 and 2003 how many people were running off to grab 1986 fleer hoops boxes and 2003 topps boxes and all the soccer moms and sneaker heads and flippers were ordering caseloads on target.com and walmart.com and scouring the local retailers for that stuff then flipping on ebay? Oh wait....none------Maybe thats why those years have real value and are somewhat limited. How many 1986 Fleer Jordans are there compared to 2019 Zions?

This is definitely a crazy time we will look back on in a few years and say...remember when 2019 Mosaic boxes were selling for XXXX
Enjoy it while it lasts.

For sure. I'm just holding for the long haul anyways. Not interested in flipping.

Well I'm in the minority I guess, I never buy to flip. I buy to rip because ripping wax was the basis of how I started collecting as a kid 30 years ago. It's fun for me. It's become harder and harder to rip so yeah when I do find some I'm going to get it all because who knows when it will be when the next basketball product I'll be able to rip (certainly won't be hobby stuff that's for sure)

I hate the desperate people who flip on eBay...(and do 1 day auctions) Just saw a guy sell a Ja silver mosaic for $150...love/hate them really...they're great when you can buy from them.

Insane going to my local Walmart. One of the most disgusting Walmarts I've been in. Saw three people there and knew they had none. They were arguing over blasters of Contenders football, Optic mega boxes, and fat packs of Hoops. The one guys said he cleaned out Target because his friend worked there and gave him the drop. I'm done looking for retail now. It's a waste of time for me. People have ins everywhere. The hobby isn't dying, it's just going through a major shift right now.
