The trucks are showing up no matter what NNs. Tomorrow ius going to be a complete waste due to severe thunderstorms during the day. I'll probably concentrate on trying to take some photos of my Indianapolis FD Fire Marshal friends doing their job for the PIO and photos of my friends that coordinate the setup, move-in, and tear down of the show for their website and publicity.

Rev Group already had all of their apparatus here and stacked up where photos were worthless when I arrived in town at 1:30. That's the first time ever and the lady I know that runs the lot said they called her early and wanted to get everything into the lot before the heavy rains and lightening tomorrow. They were trying to wash them as the rain started coming down this afternoon.

Best time for photos will be on Sunday morning when Pierce shows up and all of the apparatus move into the Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium.

I must have made an impression last year as the young lady who checked me in at my hotel remembered me from last year. It quite possibly could have been because she reminded me of my youngest SD and I made such a comment last year.

So my fingers are crossed that I may be able to move on from my job in a few months.

I had a phone call today from the female VP whose contracting company was a subcontractor to my contract when I worked the Coast Guard contract. We keep in contact with each other as she has always wanted to get me a job with her company.

She asked if I remembered signing a Letter of Intent almost 2 years ago regarding an Army contract at the Pentagon for a Deputy Operations Manager. I do remember that, but since nothing became of it, I thought they lost the contract. Apparently, the Army never put it out but have done so now with an award in late June/early July. Their PM for the bid is retiring and she wants me to take over as PM for their proposal which she is almost 100% sure they will win. I would get at least the salary I am making now, although she thought she might be able to get me a slight raise and some incentives for joining the company.

I signed a new letter of intent tonight and updated my resume and sent it back to her. It would be great to get out of my current job and actually be the boss again instead of just doing the boss's work.

There are a ton of Asian women at my hotel for some woman's conference. They stacked so many people in the elevator before me, I don't know how there was any air left in it.

Actually, you contributed because it was the 1st night in the hotel, and we met you at your favorite pizza place (now long gone) for dinner.

Was able to work out a deal with an ebay seller and have 4 94 boxes coming my way!

Had our yearly cleaning and tune up for our furnace today. They told us we need a new furnace. There is a huge crack in the heating element causing a lot of leaking. Unit was installed prior to us purchasing the house in 2008. I have no clue when.

can they not just replace the cracked element?

They said due to how old the system is, they can not. They also said it wasn't installed properly in the 1st place which is pretty standard for everything else we had replaced so far. We are having my brother in law come over and look at it. He has an HVAC degree. If we got a new one it would be a lot more energy efficient and distribute the heat evening.

Home inspections really seem to be a waste of money. I've had to replace a water heater and an HVAC unit after buying houses that the home inspection never caught anything.
