deGrom no longer has a specific planned return. Was quoted with hopes of August. He's going to be 36 by the time he returns, and has thrown 254.2 innings over the last 4 years combined.

Let's get some dates set for the upcoming season. Last year we finished our draft in just under a week, so I'm comfortable pushing it back a lil bit this year. Here's what we'll roll with for this season:

Okie dokie, draft sheet is updated and we are ready to go. A few quick reminders as we get back into it:

The major league draft is held first, followed by the minor league draft. In the major league draft, only players in ESPN's player pool are eligible to be drafted. In the minor league draft, anyone is eligible to be drafted as long as they meet playing time criteria (max 65 MLB PA / 25 MLB IP). They do not need to be drafted or signed by a major league team to be eligible

There is a link in the OP to our prospect sheet, which has a tab for ongoing draft results. This is where the results will be entered. I will do my best to keep this as real time as I can, but I may fall behind from time to time, so please check not only the sheet, but this thread as well as ESPN to make sure your player is truly available before making your pick. The draft will not stop for you to submit a repick, unless the person on the clock is feeling nice and waits for you to catch up

Please PM the person with the next pick after you make a selection. I am not too worried about finishing up the draft before opening day, but remember you can PM me or the person after your selection with a short list to submit a pick on your behalf if you are coming up soon but will be unavailable for awhile

That should cover the bases - Todder officially has the green light to kick us off with the 1st pick in the 2024 MLB draft
