It wouldn't have mattered anyway. The winning run was on 3rd and there were no outs. Even if he caught the ball, the kid could have crawled home from the distance the ball would have to be thrown from the outfield to home.

FT had the scouting report on the kid that was batting NN.

We stopped at The Battlefield Country Store on the way back and got ice cream.

Thankfully my Dad left after we got home. I was almost about to lose it if I had to hear one more garbage CNN talking point of lies from his mouth.

Because it may not have mattered in the outcome of the game, but it certainly would have mattered in the psyche of my son who came off the field believing he caused the runner to score and the game to be lost because he allowed a ball to go over his head.

You should look up slander NNs. I said nothing false about the coach. He should have moved him back based on the hitter and he didn't. It would be false if he told him to move back and I said he didn't.

Tomorrow I'll be in Leonardtown, MD all day for the Southern MD VFA Convention Parade and firefighters competition. My wife and youngest SD will be in the ambulance. Not sure what the future SIL will be riding in. Nice to have gotten the rain out of the way today since the last parade they had 2 years ago, it rained non stop.

What a long day. Didn’t have getting home at 2:15 am on the bingo card for this game.

If you ever get the chance to see the Savannah Bananas in person, GO! What a show, what a crowd, what a great time. The three of us had a blast. Even having to stand in line for 2:30 hours after the game waiting on the shuttle to take us back to our off campus parking wasn’t that bad. I didn’t get any souvenirs. I did buy my friend’s daughter a jersey, arm sleeve, and the team card set. I still can’t let her mom spend money when we go places.

I did wear my Gamecocks gear to the game at Clemson. Got to remind them who won last November.

While we were waiting at concessions, one of the Bananas staff came up and gave my friend’s daughter an official Banana Ball. She was trilled. We played catch while waiting on the shuttle.

Also had an older lady assume I was with a white lady and two kids while we were standing in line at the shuttle. She was talking to the lady and asked what I did for work. I told her, and she looked at the white lady and said, “that’s a good man, works with the kids but still has time for family”. I stopped her and said, “no, I’m here with that woman and little girl right there”. Not sure if she was offended or not, but she did say anything else the next hour and a half to me.
