We drove by their yesterday on the way to Walmart and my wife got gas at the Murphys. I told her "I wonder if that guy is stopping by everyday to get gas on the off chance she may be there."

No rain and they were very appreciative. Chief was so appreciative he wouldn't take any money for the coin I wanted to purchase for my future SIL and he gave me a station uniform patch for free. He's been chief for a week and they just got a new chief's car in so he wanted photos of that since no one has taken any photos of it. Took photos of everything individually - tower-ladder, engine, rescue, chief's car and then we put them together for a group photo. I sent them the link to download the photos from my website yesterday.

So FartyMcStinker is back to work today. He officially had a TIA (mini stoke). His BP was 190/100 at the time. If you remember, he smokes cigars and goes to his club everyday, drinking at least 3 whiskeys and 3 "fishbowls" (32 oz glasses) of beer. So he's supposed to cut that crap out (as he was supposed to when he had his heart attack 10 years ago).

He got out of the hospital Thursday and went straight to the club. No whiskey, he's cutting that out, he's all beer now. And he's only smoking one cigar a day.

I only made it to 4 of the 5 events I had planned for Saturday. The Lindenhurst Invitational Drill Parade was about 55 minutes long. Of course for the 3rd time seeing one of their parades, they failed to put the Pierce Ascendant Tower in it.

I did meet up with a friend that's a whacker up there.

As soon as I got on the road on Long Island, I knew I wouldn't make it to everything with the traffic. I decided to skip the wetdown for the engine in the Bronx and head straight to Flemington, NJ for the Pierce Ascendant wetdown. As soon as I crossed into NJ, it started raining. I got lucky in Flemington as the rain stopped for a few moments when I parked so I could take photos.

Got back on the road again to the 1st PA parade and came across a fire department in an area of NJ I have nothing from that had all of it's apparatus out as they were doing a chicken dinner fundraiser. Stopped and took photos before I got back on the road.

Made it to both PA parades I wanted to. Met up with a few friends at the 1st one and some of them went to the 2nd one with me.
