It's the area differential. Dahlgren isn't considered in the DC Metro area so the pay is less. It's also less people to manage in a lesser role than what I do now. If my wife gets the job, it would be a pay raise for her.

The key is the security clearance. They pay you more because of it so you don't have money issues and sell all of the government's secrets you know to the highest foreign bidder.

My profession requires me to keep.secrets. too. Just on a much more personal level. The security clearance are no joke though. My brother had to get on. I had to provide a lot of into myself..

I think aside from getting a COMC order packed up to go out Wednesday, I am taking a couple of days off from cards. I only have a couple of hours of work I need to do before Saturday and I do want to go through the COMC order I received last week, but haven't had time to open.

Just had my performance review. My supervisor said I'm doing an amazing job, that it's really me and him vs the world as far as this stuff goes. He also said we aren't getting raises this year which sucks.

Mr JDs aunt and uncle visited for a little bit today. They live close by. We are doing the breakfast place tomorrow.

Today we:
Went to the beach
Spent some time at the beach house
Started another puzzle
I got a nice nap in while Mr JD and the JD kids played the switch 2
F-i-l put together some subs for dinner
L and I went on the rides. We rode the roller coaster, swings, Ferris Wheel and the Pirate ship, got matching henna tattoos then had some fried oreos
Mr JD and my b-i-l met us on the board walk and we walked for a bit

I am ready for bed
