Yup. It was the exorbitant pumping that had a reverse effect on me, lol

I hear you on that for sure. To be fair no one on the Padres is hitting. Machado is having a career worst year at the plate. That hitting coach needs to be fired yesterday. I will say people don't give hitting coaches enough credit. Juan Soto and Kevin Long were perfect for each other and ever since Long left for Phillies, Juan hasn't quite been the same.

I think he misses Trea Turner. Soto needs to end up on the Phillies somehow.

Smart. Looking back at some of these pumpers, should have known better. Although I did think he had a real chance to be special.

This! Took a lot of flack last April May talking Soto was a walk first afraid of making an out hitter and that it was as important as to the timing when you sell as it is when you buy. Well that did not go over well with many here. Bambino22 you were very much a good sport but even though I won Your contest I still didn’t want a Soto RC for free. Glad I sold last spring.

Still hope the player can turn it around as he has shown the ability to be really good

He may have used to do that all the time. But once he posted a bad year where he didnt regress he progressively got worse every year until he was one of the worst players in baseball. Went from hitting 300+ to .280 to .240 to .220 to punching fans
