Going to walk my mom and the dog at 7:30am. When my mom said she committed to walking the dog every morning while my brother is here, I thought she meant with my brother. No, its me. I get to walk, keep the pace, clean up after the dog, and drop them back off at home before heading to work. Its nice though. The dog gets so excited to walk, my mom gets exercise and the trees on our walk are these old beautiful sycamore trees.

Its the time I get to spend with the participants. We have this tear away calendar that is very funny. It sits on the kitchen table. We put our favorites on the fridge. Right now, we are waiting on a bunch of stuff to come in for each person so I am just doing check ins at the moment. Can't move forward without some of these documents and they take forever to come in. The 80% ugh is the waiting and the systems in place. They are broken. Feel like you should be able to get a birth certificate by walking in somewhere and they print it out like a drivers license. They give those to anyone

I wish that were the case. The closest place we can do that is 45 minutes away and it costs $20. While it doesn't seem like much, some of the people I work with don't have any income or transportation. This is the free birth certificate program the State set up which you have to be homeless. That's why it takes so long.
