Give Aiden another month. He’ll grow out of them.

Someone please truncate this for Glen and then explain to him what truncate means.

SO when I was liquidating the cards from my LCS a kid wanted to buy all the sealed Magic the Gathering booster packs.
He came down with his dad a former police officer in the town of Fairhaven Mass.
The dad was a hot sh!t as well as the kid.

When I found more magic stuff I would let him know. We became friendly because my wife has family in the same town and my best man bought a 2nd home there as well.

This all started about 2 years ago.

The kid, named Pat, would check in with me when I had treatments and we would text a bunch. We became facebook friends as well.

He decided to join the police academy as he always wanted to be a cop like his dad.
He made a very large purchase off me earlier late last year, which he had agreed to about 6 months prior. In the 6 months in between he got engaged to his girlfriend. When he made the purchase, I made about $400 commission on the sale and gave him $100 back to take his fiancé out to dinner and to celebrate his acceptance into the academy.

This year he graduated the academy, got married and were expecting their 1st child. He also told me his dad had cancer. He told me he didn't want to go through chemo and all the ill effect that go along with it.

I reached out to him in late July and told him I found some more Magic cards. He told me his dad was still battling and his wish was that his dad lived to see his grandson.

I texted him yesterday as told him I would be in his area this week and I would drop off his stuff at the police station. Just asked what the best day would be as I was flexible.

He told me he dad passed last Saturday, the 6th. And 4 hours after he passed his son was born.

I can't imagine the absolute roller coaster of emotions he has gone through.

He absolutely will. They are required to wear black pants to his half day program. I got all the required shirts and hoodie, Mr JD was responsible for the pants. He swears we got him 2 pairs but Aiden can only find one. Its now he said vs he said. I will have to go through his clothes this weekend.

That is such a bitter sweet day. I hope he finds joy in his new found role of fatherhood and comfort in the memories of his father.

I am getting up at 5am to give myself some calm before the chaos. Its been a nice morning. I am enjoying my coffee. I walked outside, barefoot, and walked around in tjr grass. Enjoyed the stars and soaked in the moment.

Going to dinner at 5.30 tomorrow will be hit the buffet and beers as Josie suggested.
The Microsoft Conference I used to go to in Seattle was always during the baseball off season. I did used to go down there and take photos of trains and get the two stadiums into the photos though.

They won 6-1. He's been talking to some of his friends he played with in the spring and a lot of them skipped fall ball this year.

He may sit out practice tonight as he still hurts a little. That coach is tough and I'd rather have him be 100% than re-injure himself because he wasn't ready. We'll see how he feels when he gets home.

I had a text yesterday from my "credit card company" stating that I used my card (the one I never use except for my website) at a Tractor Supply (never been in any of their stores) for $900.

I can't wait to see how mad my boss is tomorrow since 3 of my 5 people are out today; 2 unplanned and one planned.
