Not that big a deal for the base cards. Find the youtube video that shows how to switch to ultra proj 130's.

The PROBLEM is when you buy an auto from an artist and the card comes in a snaptite. The tamper proof seal prevents you from swapping it out. My Efdot Nolan Ryan 1/30 came in a snaptite so forever it shall live there. Not the end of the world, but OCD flaring up.

I will save everyone the back and forth on the cases. I will be grading the 5 best looking Trout's of every release going forward starting back from the Ermsy. I will be opening the cases and so far all of mine have been in one touches. I will cut off the seal, peal off the seal, blow dry off the seal, lick the seal off......whatever way you want it I will sell the one touches with the sticker.

A little more than 1 if you count his collab with Jamieson.

That's understandable. I'm still confounded by the idea that a card being resold could be devalued based on it's case though.

Serious question for anyone here: If a card is current worth, say $200, how much is it worth without the Topps sticker?

Pretty sure someone will sell topps stickers, its really easy to make repos, happens all the time for vintage toys that had sticker sheets.

He bought the Gibsons from Topps though, and they were like $600+

He and all the artists are cleaning up with these sales though $$$

Last I heard he was still negotiating with the manufacturer of the fanny packs to get a lower price on the 400 he had to order. But, that was a week or so ago. I haven't been able to keep up since then so not sure if he's provided an estimated ship date. Maybe TBP or someone else can fill us in (or Blake if he posts on here again)...

Would you pay the same for a card not sealed anymore? I wouldnt and I'm sure others wouldnt either. Resale will always reflect that, so might as well buy the sealed one for the same price.

$200 to me, some people will say worthless and they wouldn't touch it. It's the same debate as Flawless and other cards that come sealed with stickers from the manufacturers. Personally I prefer my cards to be in BGS holders to preserve the condition of the card rather than be loose in a one-touch, snaptite, soon to be top loaders.

Yes, his answer was worthless or pay him to take the card off your hands.

See and for me I'm the opposite. Take for instance Dynasty cards. Any card graded by BGS has been ruined I only collect them sealed by topps. (And preferably a card that was pulled on video too) so many graded trouts that I'd buy for asking price but sellers think everyone wants graded cards.

There is a little bit of debris in my newly received Chang Gibson so I feel like a transplant is essential.

Several have said the sticker can be removed with a razor and re-affixed. No?

I would gladly give up the fixation on cases/stickers but I'm positive it affects resale value, at least right now.

The protection a BGS case gives is worlds better than PSA holders and magnetics

I wouldnt buy it. There will always be 100s to 1000s of every one of these cards available at any given time. Plenty to choose from.

Beautiful man, those are some of my favorites. I need me a Chang Gibson and a Efdot Mays! The Beck Gooden and Vides Rickey are pretty sweet too. I've got the Siff Ripken and Naturel Gwynn incoming.

I’m sorry that I ruined this Trout, to each their own.

Beautiful card but you are right, imo and for my collection its ruined. But I'm sure you are happy and that's all that matters in collecting. Have a video of it being pulled?

So if someone offered you the Ermsy Trout for $20 with no sticker, you'd pass?

Sorry, I don’t. It’s probably just a fake patch, fake autograph and fire kindling at this point.
